Hi,

We are planning 7 days in the outer banks next summer and of course want to do all the grat things there are to do,,,,without packing our schedule to full?

What are the must see and do things? and about how long does each one take to do?

Gone-Camping

There is plenty to do down there, but they are not loaded with 'Biggies' like some other area's. The primary thing with the Outer Banks is the Beach, everything else comes second.
:-():S

Jockey's Ridge State Park is ok, but it won't fill your day. It's a huge Sand Dune, the biggest on the east coast. Now if you're feeling brave, you can try your abilities with a hang glider from atop Jockey's Ridge. I've never tried that, with my luck I'd probably break every bone in my body!! :eyecrazy:

Just north of there in the town of Kitty Hawk is the Wright Memorial, it's a National Park Service site, and museum (http://www.nps.gov/wrbr/), it should make for an interesting afternoon.

If you've got a 4x4 you can drive down to Cape Hatteras National Seashore, head out onto the beach, and find your own little section of the Atlantic to call your own for the day. Swim, surf, or do some surf fishing.

Oh, and head further south, take the free ferry to Ocracoke Island, spend a day down there too!

If you've got the available funds, you could take a deep sea fishing charter too. There are loads of little tourist like things to do down there.
