I had enough of this conversation, people do ask me questions and get answers, and I am not one not to apologize.

I will still give you the benefit of the doubt, either we are not able to communicate or you are not able to come out and say what you want to say and hiding behind words. I am assuming the first.

My answers and points were crystal clear .....

End of this discussion for me.

Holy Cow!!! :yikes:   I can not believe the way this post has gone.  It started out as an interesting "off topic", and was posted in the "campfire" section of the campground, which is appropriate.

Now it has turned into a big mess.   Most of the post in this thread have nothing to do with the topic of the thread.  Too many people take what is said the wrong way, they think the post is about them, and get bent out of shape.  Unless the author of a post says it is about you, why would anyone think a post is about them?  People need to stop reading hidden meanings into posts.

I am disappointed in the way this post has gone and hope that other threads stay on topic.  The board has been slow and there are a lot of off topic threads out there.  Why not post to the threads you are interested in and let the other post alone.

This thread is not an attack on anyone and should not be interpreted in that way.  This is my opinion.

Very well put, Tracy.  Truly the voice of reason.

Thank you.

I think, considering the fact that the two main parties of this thread aren't here anymore, that it's time for this thread to die a peaceful death and float away to pages far far away.

Might even be good for it to disappear completely.

If people would not over react and would not read things into a post there would not be any reason for any post to die peacefully.  There was nothing wrong with the original post.  What was wrong was what other people posted.  Taking the post off topic and turning it into ugly accusations.  Locking or deleting a post should not need to be done.  People should think before they post something.  If you feel you need to delete what you posted, you should not have posted it in the beginning.

Yes, that's right.  It's your opinion.  Not everyone has that same opinion.

Holy Crap!!! I go away for a few days (Yes, I was camping, not imagining camping, nor hoping that you would think I was camping but not really camping. And no, Cindy did not go camping with me, this time) and all kinds of heck breaks loose. Well, I'm not surprised, as it was brewing when I left, part of the reason for my post to this thread. For those who objected to any disrespect shown to patients who really suffer from this malady, I wish to post a disclaimer that I was merely attempting to show the ludicrous nature of thinking that there might be an unidentified member of our board with this disorder. And the person who might be suspected of having this disorder isn't hard to deduce, given that the poster of this thread has already made several remarks in other threads (now removed) that allude to this.

The second thing that i'm objecting to is the idea that we have a member here, a moderator that doesn't moderate, but instead picks a side and joins in to threads that could be considered inappropriate. I was under the impression that the moderator's role was to cool down and/or end the fracas, not to take part and extend it. If two of our members have been banned or asked to have a timeout for their behavior, then where is the reprimand for our esteemed moderator?

Two other members keep making remarks saying that it's not fair to take sides, or to announce what side has been taken, but have apparently also taken sides. Who keep reminding us that everyone has the right to choose what to read, but still complain about not liking things that they can choose NOT to read.
This whole issue has become a PITA.

.

this is SUCH an interesting question.  I am SURE Birol  wishes HE  had thought of saying that to the people who attacked him without ANY PROVOCATION  in several threads HE wrote.

So, tell me, Tracy, why do YOU think bearbait CHOSE to read and post unfriendly things on Birol's thread?

It amazes me that the very people here who are constantly saying "if you dont like it, DONT READ IT."  are always reading things by people  they claim to have no interest in.  Now you see, if those people followed their own advice and stayed away from threads  by Birol, they wouldnt have to waste time worrying about his sanity.  And he wouldnt have been unfairly attacked  because he was stupid enough to come here for comfort and sympathy and a few kind words.

WHY is it alright for SOME people to post personal things on the campfire and yet others--who are not hurting anyone--are not allowed that same privilege?  I would certainly appreciate an anwer from whichever moderator  reads this?  Frankly, I think Birol showed bad judgement in trusting this place, but since he did, WHAT HARM HAS HE DONE ANYONE HERE by posting his problems on the very forum where  nothing he wrote about in his threads  violated " Dave's rules"?

Tracy, please--it would take someone of  unbelieveable credulity  not to know who this was aimed at.  bearbait is not exactly an expert on mental health so this is waaaay out of his field of expertise and let's see --maybe you didnt read his remarks and those of others in  the earlier thread called "Update"  which were actually a pre-cursor to the Munchausen thread.  But I did, and this is just a continuation of his cruelty to Briol and please dont deny it--it is unworthy of you.

And BTW, that thread called "Update" and another one,  was filled with so many unkind  remarks that BIROL HIMSELF contacted Dave and asked it to  be removed as it had become so painful for him.

Sure am glad that I'm not the only one that noticed this!
