Help!  Has anyone here ever EVEN SEEN  or heard of  a TT made by Sun Valley called RoadRunner?  Sactocampers sent me their URL and I went there and it  looks like an interesting and lightweight thing.  Mfr website had  some specs, but no useful pics or  details which included any information about  interior finish or dealerships.  And the floorplan was lousy.

After a lot of  frustrating searching, I found some dealers in CAlifornis and one in Baton Rouge, another in  Tucson.  (Not exactly convenient) RVWholesalers used to carry them, but not now and RVTraders online wasnt much help either except for the 3 places I mentioned above..

If you live in the Eastern US--south or central or midAtlantic--and have seen one of these "invisible" little things or know someone who has one, I'd really appreciate any  information you might have.

I have seen them, but I have no idea where a dealer is located.  Are you looking for a true trailer or a hybrid? :)

I have seen them at a dealership here in new jersey when we were looking for pur pop up... they looked really nice...

We went and looked at a few at a dealer about 15 mins from home, after my Dad stopped and looked at them and kept telling me that "they're not chintzy - seem to be made a little better than our PU and TT". They DID seem to be made a little better than normal, and I would buy one. They are supposed to be coming out with a little hybid this year as well - if I remember correctly it's a 162??? Not sure. But they are nice little trailers. The only thing I could see that made me think "that is stupid" is the sewer drain was really low to the ground, right behind the tires which might make it get all gunked up, and God forbid you should bottom out while coming out of a steep incline. Other than that one thing I liked them a LOT!

So on the back page of the most recent edition of POPUP TIMES, I notice a full page add for Willing RV, who just happen to be dealers for RoadRunner RV's from Sunriver!!

I'm surprised you said you had little luck with RVTraderonline.
I did a search there and found the following links, with photos of the ineterior of the Roadrunner 160

Hope these help

So I then started to do a Google search for Roadrunner 160 and found even more sites with interior photos of Roadrunners, even one place that rents them out, which then jogged my memory, and Yes I have been inside one of these!!

At this year's "Poppin' at Pismo Rally" in June, Casey and Lisa had a rented RV, and I am sure it was a Roadrunner. So I checked the photos, and sure enough, it is in the background of a few photos, with "Roadrunner' logo on the side!!

From what I remember, it was nice and compact inside, well equipped, and nicely finished. Not as much room as inside a popup, but plenty of room for 2 people.

Thanks, everyone--I checked  out all these links (incl Willingboro) and found the information in each one has added to the iinformation provided by the others and sort of adds up to a pretty clear picture of the RoadRunner by Sun Valley.  6Q, the links you gave are especially helpful since they provide more pictures than any other  of the sites I have found.

Had  a nice e-mail  from Sun Valleythis afternoon telling me there is a dealer only about a hundred miles from us so I'll  check that place out.

copcarguy, thanks also for your additional information--the fact that you and jpr  felt they are well made and not "chintzy"  tells me that the Road Runner is at least worth seriously looking into.

And the fact that there is a rumor out that they may be coming up with a hybrid is REALLY interesting!!:)

Clearly, for just two people the RoadRunner looks like a reasonable  choice--we just need a place to sleep, rest a bit , have a snack--and have our own bathroom!  We sure are going to miss the space in oour TM though--and all the windows.  We who have  popups  get SOOOO  spoiled  by that wonderful feeling of space.  Well sometimes, it's a tradeoff and if the space is well-planned and well-built and finished, even if it is tiny, it can be comfortable.

We  have sure got lots to think about

Playing devil's advocate here. The only bad things I've heard said about the RoadRunners is from the ShadowCruiser Yahoo message board. Those who purchased the ShadowCruiser typically also considered the RR. They claim the Shadow Cruiser appeared to be better made, that the RR seemed "cheaper." I can't confirm or deny it since I haven't been inside an RR, but thought you might want to know. And make sure you do a thorough check prior to signing on the dotted line. You can go to the Shadow Cruiser message board:

to find out more specifically what those folks thought about the RR and the Shadow Cruiser.

Brian, I would gladly get a Shadow Cruiser (Al found it for me several months ago actually) and am very impressed with them--great floor plans and quality  but THEY ARE TOO HEAVY and too big overall for the Aerostar and we are going to keep it as our TV for  awhile  yet.  However, I will go to the link, because as you know,  there is no such thing as too much information and we dont want to make a mistake with such an important decision.
