As many of you are aware I have had the new 05 Niagara for about 2 months now.  I noticed when we went up to Lake Chatuge that the roof was rubbing on the box when the roof was lowered.

I took the PU back to Peco Campers and showed them the problem.  While they said it would be about two weeks, they called back in less than a week and told me it was fixed.

Apparently during manufacture one of the cabinets was installed pushing out on the side wall causing it to rub.  They fixed the cabinet, sanded down the area that had rubbed and re-painted it.  in addition they called Fleetwood and told them I should be given some consideration for having to deal with a manufacturing defect. All before they called me...

So when I was called they were able to tell me that Fleetwood is offering me a set of camping chairs or an auto-changeover LP gas valve (installed) for my trouble.

This is what you should be looking for in a dealer.

That is awesome!  Certainly the way to keep a customer for life!    Hurray for them!

That is great!

The first two years with the Palomino I had horrible experiences with the local dealer, but they were the only game in town.  Then a year-and-a-half ago had to have the axle replaced.  We were the second owners and it was 2 months out of warranty, so we ate the costs.  During that time the dealer got a new service manager who became aware of our axle issues.

About 3 months later he called me and asked if I had heard from the axle manufacturer.  Nope.  Few weeks after that I got a check in the mail to cover the cost of the axle and labor to replace it.  Turns out he had gone to bat for us and got the whole job covered under the warranty.

Made a world of difference for me.  I'd go back now (and have!) ... I also told the service manager that.
