okay once again I look to the all knowing PU guru's. I need to park my PU at my sisters for about a week. her driveway has a decent slope. if I back it in chalk the wheels good, would this put too much strain on the front wheel? should I have the wheel orientated sideways or straight forward?

I'd leave the front wheel facing forwad so there isn't any side-load on it. Could you get the camper near level and put the front stabilizers down? Maybe just enough tension on them to share some of the load.

Dee,
When you back the Niagara onto the sloped driveway, then put the wheel chocks under the wheels, then get back into your Expedition, and let it roll forward a few inches, and it should stop, locked against the wheel chocks.
Yoy can now unhook the Expedition, and there should be very little stress on the front wheel.
If you don't let the Niagara roll onto the wheel chocks, it is very difficult to unhitch from the ball, as all the weight of the trailer is resting on the ball.
I would recommend dropping the two front stabilizers, to give some added resistance, and it also acts as a theft deterrent, as you need to raise the stabilizers to be able to tow it away.
