Hello All,

Just looking for some friendly advice from the knowledgable campers here. We are going to take a trip this summer to the St. Louis Missouri area. Never been there, so we need some recommendations for campgrounds. I don't care if we are near the city. I would like to be less than an hour outside of it though. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are camping with kids, so we do want a kid friendly campground. Thanks in advance.

I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the Jellystone park in Eureka.  It is about 1 mile from Six Flags and is a great place.  When we use to live in Illinois, that was our favorite place to camp. :p

Pop-A-Top

I would suggest Babler state park.
Jellystone is $40+ a night and very small sites.
Babler SP campground has been rebuilt 2 years ago and is very nice.
There is a pool at the park and many trails.
The sites are good sized also.
//www.icampmo.com is site for reservations
and you can see pictures of each site at
//www.mostateparks.com
And is only $14 a night.
