Hello again from the newbee!!!

So does this mean that "griffsmom" will make the reservations for us or do we reserve a space ourselves? Sorry I'm new to this.... By the way Friday the 21st of October to Sunday the 23rd is fine with us!!!!

I look forward to your response!!

Basically what happens is the wagonmaster/mistress will call Vail Lake and make one large reservation (for however many sites they think).  After this is done he/she will start a list of who is interested and then ask for how ever much money is needed.  Closer to the rally date a list for potluck items and other activities will be posted.  Our webmaster will also update the "future rally" page at www.sccampers.org with all the info.

I'm in the joining mood.  Put me down, too.  Might have one other adult, but Brandy (travel dog) will be along for sure.  Thanks!

The date for the rally is 10/21-10/23 (Fri-Sun) if you want to make it a night longer than it will be 10/20-23.

Kim is right about the dates.  Vail Lake Rresort requires the wagonmaster to confirm the sites 14 days before arrival.

Sounds like fun!  Count us in.

Okay all you math majors--(Dee, is Kevin still up?)--how many are we up to now? :D

Take a look at the camp map. http://www.vaillakeresort.com/campmap.html My first choice is Chardonnay Mesa, but that goes crazy fast. My second choice would be the new Arroyo Seca, which does have W/E and I think S too.

I'm thinking of staying out of the Oaks so that we can have less traffic for the little ones and not have to hear the "scary" sound loop until midnight. Let me know your thoughts.

KEEP IN MIND: we have no reservations yet, so please don't start posting about what site you'd like.  This is all just tentative as to in what section we'd like to try to get sites.

All of our options have negatives -- the area we stayed at  last year was nice and didn't have through traffic but was down right noisy, the loop we stayed at 2 years ago wasn't as nice in my opinion and was noisy with the ampetheater until about 11 pm.  Isn't the Arroyo Seca on an upper level?  If so, I was told that it gets alot of wind.

As of now, I'd say the loop we were in last year would be a good place but towards the beginning of the loop (away from the niose).  We'll still be some what close to the playground & pool and closer to the village and not right next to the ampetheater.  This is my opinion and others may not agree.
