Hello all!

May 12-14 I am heading to the Great Smoky Mountains for my police car clubs national convention.  I don't have much info right now, but I know we are headed for Severville, Pigeon Forge, & Gatlinburg, TN and Cherokee, NC.  Anyone ever been around there?

Well if you asked me after the Eastern Rally in July I could tell you,:p but I haven't been there yet.  I know you want to go down I-81 to get there.:)

Yeah Tracy...  You know I love "81st Street" as they call it on the CB.  I know it'll be a long drive in the ol' Gran Fury.  Stephie says that it's the "most uncomfortable car we have ever owned".  LOL!  I dunno - I happen to love it.  In fact, I think these three current vehicles (Fury, E-250 van, and Explorer)have stuck around quite a while for us.  I wonder if this is a record.  :eyecrazy: :screwy:

The Eastern/SEPUC Rally was in Townsend TN a few years back, we went through all them places.  Pigeon Forge is a tourist trap, well so is Gatlinburg...lots of traffic, glad I will be on the other side of the mountains in July.  Don't remember too much about Severville...evidently not a memorable place.
This was the first season we had used the Bantam, so towing, was still new to me and in the mountains...well I made it there (to Little River Village in Townsend TN), in 14 hours from the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
Diane and family were there also, she or Chris may be able to give you a better idea of the time and maybe even the best way from where you will be staying.
