Yeah, Lori.  Glad to hear you are in.  H-6 was already reserved by Darksiders so I put you in H-16.  Let me know if you want to relocate.  I think all the sites in this location are good.

So now I guess I have to start acting like a wagon master and post something to show my exceptional  organizational skills (yikes! here goes)

Here are the sites that are reserved and the campers that have confirmed (as of 2/7/05):

H-1
H-2
H-3
H-4
H-5  DK&3kids
H-6  Darksiders
H-7  Chez Way
H-8  Dee4j
H-10
H-12
H-14
H-16 Griffsmom (tentative location)

Quote from: griffsmomWe're in! Wouldn't...no, couldn't miss Dee's b-day extravagaaahhnza! Just to be sure I told Dave correctly, it's $72.94 for the weekend, right? Of course, you know we'll never see him since there's cable tv hook ups! :J

I was thinking of maybe site H-6 or maybe H-16--are either of those nice ones? I saw your pics dee and it looked like the pull-thrus are a bit narrow. Any input from those of you who have been there as to which of the sites are nice would be appreciated!

Narrower maybe a little but you have a big black topped area behind all the sites in that row. (where the "H" is on the map).
I think Chezway has H7 and Darksiders H6.  I think for you with griffy I would take H4. H16 while there isn't anyone on the back side of you you're closer to the by the main road. (great blue heron run) but the road the sites are on aren't really traveled. and Griffy will have more cruising room before the main road.  there is a chainlink fence behind all the sites on that side so they can't wonder into red riding hood park.

My site has a fenced in jacuzzi but not sure it's locked. I think I will bring a lock just is case

We were in H-7 last year and it was an awsome site because the grandchildren cvould be fenced in on three sides, even then the 18 month old got loose one night.  oh well sounds like I'm a little late for this site.  Please put us down for one site. Maybe not too close to a busy intersection.... if there are any sties left on the same side  as H-7.  Thanks, sue

Jeanne,

I think Dee has a good point about keeping my little monkey away from the higher traveled road areas.  How close is H-3 to the main road? If that's fairly safe as well, then put me down for that one instead of H-16.  Thanks!

I see they only let pets in certain areas of the park are we in a pet friendly area? Or will I need to find a pet sitter?  Also, I saw some money talk in other posts on this event do we need to send money now? Carol

Hi Carol,
Dogs are definitely okay although there is an additional charge ($3 per day, maximum of 3) and no pit bulls or rotwiellers are allowed.

As far as the cost, I already paid a deposit but the balance depends on whether or not we have 10 committed campers (plus the supersite already separately reserved by Dee4j).  So thinking optimistically, the cost is $33 per night plus reservation charges for a total of $72.94 per campsite.  I think if we end up with 9 we will keep the extra site and add an extra few $ per camper because it still would be cheaper than the non-group rate of approximately $75. per night.  As soon as we have a commitment from 10 campers plus Dee I will begin collecting the fees.  If we don't have enough for the group rate we'll figure out what to do when we get a little closer to the deadline for full payment (30 days prior to our trip).  I hope this is clear!
