Tracy - I just was going to make reservations and I don't know what site to get.  I'll drive here for you since you have driven for me.  :D

tlhdoc

Rick did you make your reservation?:)

I am guessing that the answer is NO since you have not posted or emailed me to let me know.

tlhdoc

Is anyone else interested in going?:)

SheBantam

If I am going to Ricketts Glenn, I can't make it.

Still have not told Raymond about that one.

Also not sure about Jeffrey, he has skipped 3days in the last 3days and has only been home intime for the curfew check 2 times in the last week.
They now have someone to call 5 out of 7 nights to check on him.  He may be going back

They're sold out for Memorial Day weekend...  guess I waited too long.

Yes they are.:(  I called today to see if they had any openings left.  Since it is only 9 days away from the holiday I am not surprised.  You can keep checking, sometimes there are cancellations right before the weekend.:)

Wadester

Do try again for that cancellation, CCguy.  It's a nice place.  Would like to see you there.

Tracy - who all has reservations - is it a short list?

tlhdoc

It is a very short list.  Only 2 families, because some others that remain nameless didn't call sooner:( ;) .

I hope you guys are having a great time...  We just had a huge BBQ and we're thinking of you all!

Well, I'm the first one home (had to leave early with J for a parade). Had a great time. Beautiful day on Friday. Beckie arrived Sat and brought the rain with her  :D . It does seem that whenever we three get together (Di, Beckie & Tracy) the skies open up. Luckily the rain didn't last all day. In any case, we got a trip to Walmart out of it. Tracy also gave us a tour of the area and Bucknell U. Lots of farm country out Tracy's way. Beckie made brownies on her stove and they were yummy. Too bad she couldn't stay for steak dinner. I made enough baked potatoes for half the cg. Chris & K finally went fishing but had no luck   . Sunday was nice too, with just a little rain.

J said this is his favorite state cg. Hear that Rick - guess it compares to North-South Lake. I think this cg has the nicest bathrooms - modern, warm and clean.
He likes the trail around the lake and we had electric. Tried out one of Tracy's electric heaters (very nice). That girl sure is prepared. She had 2 electric heaters and she was on a non-electric site  :eyecrazy: . Tracy, any luck with the generator after we left? Waiting to hear if it worked with our a/c.

Rick, we were hoping you would show up for a visit. Turns out there were a few open sites. We had a few fires but none to compare to yours  ;)  Despite being a holiday weekend, the cg was under control - no wild parties, no huge bonfires, etc. Looked like lots of locals.

We left the campground a little after 2pm today.  Chris and K were popping down when we left.  They were just about ready to go.  We had a great time, even with the rain, which is always expected on a COTOC trip.  The parade on Sunday was long this year, 12 minutes, and the Boy Scouts did well with the ice cream social.  We ended up back at camp about 7 last night.  Had a fire at our site and relaxed.  There were a few sprinkles today, but my PU was dry when we popped down so I didn't open it up at home.  I need to was and repack for this coming weekend when I camp with the Boy Scouts.  :yikes:

Rick how is Stephie?

I got the sink caulking done leisurely before lunch today and found that the AC has filters under the shroud/cover.  Will clean it next trip, the AC works fine though.   Had the most bizarre episode hitching up.  Tried to get the tongue over the ball at least 15 times before success even after lubing and loosening the clasp nut.  Kels actually put the magic finger on it and it went right over.  This after much jumping and kicking but no cursing - goofy :eyecrazy: .   K & C left at 2:45 and were definitely the last ones home... 6:55.  Hit massive rain storms with lightning, down to 40 on the highway some people off on shoulder with flashers going. Poor Guy and significant other on a Gold Wing with a small trailer behind in that mess - luckily he pulled off while I kept going. Then I did a major panic brake at the merge of 380 and 80 east where traffic stopped.  Was actually not sure if the pickup behind and the camper behind him were going to stop in time.  Same place that we saw a 22+ footer and duelly pickup in the ditch last year--- must have been the same panic stop situation :yikes: .    My friend's Sirius radio was a dream to have in rural PA... lots of good tunes for both K and I 60's to today.  I made a fire poker rod when I got home and have a list of other to-dos for the next run.   Thanks Tracy for a great time.  I love that park too.
