***The Fall Rally Will be held at Locust Lake State Park, PA, September 23, 2005 weekend.***

Last September some of the group voiced that they wanted to try a new campground for the Fall Rally. So what are our choices? Do you know of a campground you would want to try in the same general area. Hickory Run was a central area for may people.

Can we try Locust Lake SP:

Or the "Allentown" KOA:

anyone else have suggestions in roughly a 25-30 mile radius of the Hickory Run area??

Allentown KOA sounds good !

Has anyone thought about Otterlake in Marshall Creek, PA ?

I don't want to offend anyone, so please don't take offence, but I really do not like KOA's or private campgrounds, for that matter. I would perfer a state park somewhere in PA. We have so many wonderful state parks, we should be able to find something. I like Locust Lake. I visited there once and it looked like a very nice campground.

No offense... different strokes for different folks, when you live down here NJ and reach out your window to borrow an egg from the neighbor you get uneasy been far away from your neighbors, or not being close enough to smell them ! Just Kidding I would enjoy anywhere as long as it's within 3 hours of driving or my sons go crazy ! Also at the rate I'm going the camper will be sold and I will be captive to my bed, just came back from my second MRI @ Princeton tonite this one was with a contrast/dye. it's been 3 weeks and I can barely walk. I wish they would find something I'm getting crazy with all these test !

BTW Thanks for the info on the vinyl shutters !

Well guys, right now it looks like 2 votes for Locust Lake and 2 for Allentown KOA.  That is if I vote two times...  Wait that's not fair. :screwy:  Actually, anywhere is fine as long as my COTOC family shows up.

OK then, Locust Lake it is. :D   Thank you boys.  Opps! I guess if everyone else agrees, then Locust Lake it is.

Hershey & Tracy,

Since you Ladies took some great pictures @ Watkins Glenn can you consider making your way over to Locust Lake for another weekend campground snap shots of sites ?

HersheyGirl

Humm, don't you have a camera?  Maybe you need to take a hike in the woods.

This just might be possible, I'm responsible for a distribution operation in Hazleton, PA. so maybe I need to make a trip up soon, though it wont be next week I leave for balmy Sweden late next week.

Tracy,
Locust Lake is close to Hazleton correct ?

Adam

No Lyme,

Now I have to head to a rumatory arthritis specilist, just wonderful. My very busy doctor also needs to operate on my meniscus tear which he is not sure i have since the second MRI only suggest a tear, his concern is to clear up the 20,000 white cells in the knee then correct the mechincal issues. I sound like a car with bad fuel and burnt valves !  I'm glad I'm off the crutches but can't wait to fly for 8 hours, I wonder what the cabin pressure will do to the knee ?

Sorry for Hijacking, will turned the thread back to Locust Lake now ~

Tracy, Can I give me a loop or section which will meet everyones satisfaction !

I just learned from my friend this campground is only 10 mintutes from our distribution center, so like week # 8 I will make plans to take some pictures if this is the agree'd location !
