I really hate it when pople shake pull, shove, to get ground thru the ball. It seams like I always come up behind people who do this when I am in a hurry to get home with the last load on Fri. nite. D**n your sway I'm comin' by as fast as I can because if your lites are acting stupid I don't know when you're turning, slowing or changing lanes. If your plug is wired right the lites should work without hooking anything but the plug.

Definitely a ground issue, unfortunately I see this all of the time.

My friend's brother-in-law has a 97 F150 that had a similar problem. His truck was prewired for the trailer lights. When he turned his turn signals on, both sides would flash.

To make a long story short, the wiring was pinched in between the bed and fram rail when the truck was built. We lifted the bed, fixed the wires, and away we went.

Now that the story has nothing to do w/ the topic  :eyecrazy:

It's prolly the T-adapter.. I bought one for my mom's 97 Isuzu Hombre PU, which is basically a 97 S-10. Well, I went through 2 harnesses before finding one that worked. I ended up building my own harness, which had integral relays which fed the trailer from the battery...
