Our Rockwood has a outside grill and I plan on using that. Do others have problems with the outside grill like cleanup/storage/etc. that we would benefit from the roadtrip?

If you are referring to the RVQ Grill, then some have stated that they don't like the fumes, grease, flames, etc. that close to the side of the camper. Others have said they love the RVQ. I can't comment either way since I don't have one.

I CAN comment on the Roadtrip though. We used it this last weekend with the new direct connection to the HP LP stub and found this to be most convenient. We were able to keep it about 8' away from the side of the popup lessening the intrusion of smells and grease. A person on another board suggested lining the water pan with HD aluminum foil to ease clean up. I tried that and clean up was a breeze. Again, I don't have the RVQ but I've got to imagine that the Roadtrip was easier to clean.

Storage can be an issue if you have limited space. The Roadtrip is a rather large object even when folded. We are fortunate to have a lot of space in the back of our TV where it rides.

Of course, you could apply what I have said about the Roadtrip to the many other portable camping grills that are out there. The Jeep and Thermos models, for example, are very similar in size and construction.

FWIW, as we are looking at getting a new camper, we have decided not to get the RVQ even though many new units come with one as a pre-ordered option. Instead, we plan to swap that out for an outside, camper mounted 3-burner stove like we currently have on our popup. This way, we will have a full cooking center (grill, griddle and stove) out in the open air.
