I just bought a 81 Coleman popup, and I am facing having to replace the roof. The wood inside the roof is coming apart, and there has been noticable leaks. I want to replace or repair the roof. Question is HOW???

I did a little investigation and found the roof is an aluminum skin, with a layer of styrofoam, and then wood paneling (like 1/8").

Are there any readymade replacments? Or am I going to have to repair it myself?

The rest of the camper is in fairly good shape, so I would like to get this fixed.

Any help appreicated!

My brother had one like that. He also had a sag in the middle of the roof. He put a support inside the camper to bow the roof up slightly when he closed it then he fiberglassed the entire roof. When that was dry he removed the wood and bought some plain white bathroom wallboard and glued it to the foam and put a few supports across the ceiling. The camper had many more years of use after that.
