Jayco Select 12 HW

Guys and Gals,
I "happened" into our local pop-up showroom yesterday (quite by accident I told my wife!) while my little Coleman Yuma was getting some routine maintenance, and saw the Jayco Select 12 HW. I fell in love with it immediately! Wondering if any of you have the camper and if you would be willing to share comments about it? Or any high wall camper for that matter--tell us "little wall" people what you like and don't like. Is this the coming revolution? Thanks for all input!

Funny you start this thread.  We just upgraded from our Viking 2480ST to this exact unit.  We ordered it last week.  We too fell in love not just with the Jayco, but the High Wall design in general.  We really like the added appliances and bigger fridge.  Also gives you a bigger front storage trunk.  Bottom line is they just feel roomier and less cramped to us.  

We ordered it with all the options.  We also added air, a 4 bike roof rack, dual tanks, and screen room.  All total retail was about $13,500.  We are paying $11,000.  Seemed like a fair deal to us.  We are very excited about it.

We researched these units a lot.  The Rockwood is nice, but very heavy (gvw was 3900lbs.)  The Starcraft was also nice but a bit pricey, and the dealer wouldn't move on the price.  As much as we like Fleetwoods, we really did not like what they did with the high wall design.  The Jayco seemed like the best fit for us.  Where are you located?  we could let you know our dealer info if you'd like.  Good luck

Thanks for your good reply--that's just the kind of stuff that makes these forums so priceless! We are in the Minneapolis-St Paul area. It appears, at least from searching Jayco's website, that we have only one Jayco dealer in the entire Twin Cities, which seems awfully hard to believe to me since within 10 miles of my home there are at least 20 dealerships! I am not sure where you are but if you bought anywhere close to us, let us know where.

We are in a suburb of Milwaukee, WI.  We bought from a dealer that just opened his Jayco dealership about 20 minutes from us.  I am sure this is too much of a drive for ya, but I could certainly give you pricing info so you have some ammunition when you go in.  

By the way, good ridence to Randy Moss, and thanks to the Vikings for stealing our strong safety.  Let me know if we can be of any help to ya.

Really shouldn't be a problem since he lost half of his starting offensive line this year.  Feeling good that he is coming back, not feeling too good about the upcoming season.  Guess I'll just have to live with NASCAR for now
