We am going camping in 4 days.  Anyone want to join us?  I thought I would rub it in.:D   Of course I am stressed out over the weather and not being able to dewinterized and sanitize the water system.  I also can't pack all of the stuff (hygiene, blue potty stuff, and first aid) because I don't want it to freeze.:eyecrazy:

Tracy - I am so jealous...  We'll be at North Lake with you guys before you know it.

sometime in April as our first trip of the season. The dealer gives you 2 free nights camping in their campground when you buy a new camper from them. We will be getting two free nights. :#

Rick, what are you doing? I haven't been around for awhile so fill me in (please :D ).

2 days until camping.  The antifreeze is gone and the water system has been sanitized.  I hope it doesn't get too cold out.  The water heater works, but I didn't test the furnace.  :eyecrazy:

Di, Rick has been very secretive.  He isn't telling anyone what is going on.

Oh, BTW:

Beckie - please email me your address and you can have that water level indicator for the same price I paid for it.

How long ya gonna be there? Jeffrey comes home Easter and cannot leave for 3 weeks, but I CAN!!!

Did you blow your system out before putting in the intial antifreeze? If so, then you should be OK, unless you rinsed out the anti freeze.

I never got mine in the camper.  I've been running a heater in it all winter, BUT we blew a breaker and Raymond (bless his heart) in the dark in the basement decided to try ALL the breakers instead of running his finger down the rows to see which ONE was not the same, so he shut off the breaker that controlled the heater in the camper, I did not find out for several days, thought the heater would re-turn on, but it did not, so I am not sure just how my water lines are. Lost the one under the sink last spring and $200 later, it was fixed.  They said it looked more like water pressure than freezing (I did winterize it last year). Got one of them nifty controllers now...

We will be there until Monday, maybe Tuesday.  As I sit and type this it is 32 degrees out and we have 2 to 3 inches of snow.  Driving home today was one of the worst this winter.:yikes:   I sanitized the water system last night so there is water in the lines.  I drained the water heater and left all of the faucets open half way.  I think I will run an electric heater in the closed PU tonight. :(

Well, I was there, pitched my tent in the rain...spent most of Friday with Tracy and the boys.  Could not get ahold of Raymond, the one who TALKED me out of taking the trailer...something about gas being too expensive...so I went home to check on him (Tracy did tell me that I could stay on her dinette if I got cold so that was NOT the reason). It was around 11:30 when I got home. We went back the next day with the neighbor (he wanted to make sure that I was not going to try to spend the night again) retrieved the tent and stuff and went back home.
Somehow I lost the tent and pole bags, in the rain, not in the car. Might have blown off into the Atalntic. Did have the Dining canopy bag though...

Lessons learned
NEVER pitch a tent in the cold rain where there are no hot showers to warm up in.
NEVER let the husband talk you out of taking your camper, especially when it can be slept in as is.
NEVER go home until you are ready.
ALWAYS try to camp with Tracy!!
Don't know about Assateague in June with no power for the AC, call me a sissy camper, but I cannot do heat.

We got home today.

Highlights of the trip.

Thur.  NO WIND NO RAIN:D.  Called HersheyGirl to rub it in.   Nice trip down, we made it in a little over 5 hours, I think that is a record for us.  Only one stop in the Poconos for gas.  Set camp up and went up to West Ocean City and ate at a Chinese Buffet place.  NO WIND NO RAIN.

Friday  Rain/showers were expected and started around noon time.  Paula surprised us with a visit, although I think we must have made her mad, because she let and didn't stay over night;)  Trip to Wal-Mart, Big Dogs, etc.  Paula bought KFC for dinner for us.  Thank you Paula.:D

Sat.  NO RAIN NO WIND.We waited a little bit for Paula to come back and then went down to Chincoteague Island and the VA end of Assateague.  We took the wildlife tour.  Had a picnic lunch.  NO RAIN OR WIND.:D  They had a live video feed of a Bald Eagle's nest with 2 chicks in it.  Ate out at Bonanza Steak House and back to camp to find all of Paul's stuff gone.  Paula I didn't see your missing stuff, could it have been in the boxes that got thrown away?

Sunday NO WIND and NO Rain until 1130 PM.  We ate dinner at Out Back Steak House.  Lazy afternoon playing cards, and watching movies.  It was supposed to rain in the afternoon, but for once the weather god of the beach was nice too us and it didn't rain until very late and we were all in bed.

Monday Pack up and head for home.  DS started throwing up at 0730.  He is still sick, but hasn't thrown up for over 2 hours now, maybe the worst is over for him, poor kid.  The rain did stop long enough for us to pop down with out getting soaked.  PU is soaked and I need to set it up and get it dried out.
