The plastic strip that goes around the table and counter tops has become detached. There seems to be no damage, i just can't seem to keep it in the grove. It looks kile it was just snapped in place, no evidence of glue. Does anyone have an idea on how to get the strip to stay in place. I'm afraid to use hot glue for fear of making a real mess. Thanks

Only when the DW is around

When I had my Viking, I removed mine and wiped the wood with a thin layer of clear silicone and pressed the plastic edging back into the groove. Use masking tape to hold it in until the glue dries then scrape away any excess.

I did that to my Viking to prevent any water from getting into the fiberboard and making it swell.

Silicone is a good idea....why didn't i think of that??

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will try the silicone idea if I can ever keep it popped up more the a day at a time because of rain.

well, I finally had the opportunity to try the silicone to "glue" the trim in place and it looks great. Can't wait to get to use her for the first time.  :-()  :D
