Hi!, Help!
Any suggestions for a furnace in 2002 Coleman Santa Fe?  I am debating whether to buy a Heater Buddy or spend the $$bucks on a furnace.  Do you know of an affordable furnace with permanant installation?

I can only find furnaces for $400-$600.  And my local RV service center wants $250 to install?!!  I bought the camper used and love it, but i regret not buying one with furnace.

If I go the Heater Buddy route, is there any way to add a fitting to hook up to my existing dual propane tanks?

Thanks in advance!! Rob

If you can afford it I would get the furnace.  I have a Buddy heater and a furnace.  I would not use the Buddy heat at night and I worry that the kids could knock it over.  It also puts a lot of moisture into the air.  The furnace is vented to the outside so you don't have to worry about moisture or CO in the PU, but it does use a lot of power to run the fan.  You might want to check at a couple of other RV places and get prices for a furnace installed.  The one in my 10 foot Coleman/Fleetwood trailer is 16,000 BTUs.:)

I also bought a great used pop-up, Coleman Cottonwood, but it does not have heat. When I was shopping the one option I knew I wanted was heat. When you are shopping for used you don't always get everything you want. The dealerships I have questioned have also given me prices around $600 which just seems unreasonable, not to mention you could never recoup that when you sell. I have the coleman powercat that has a fan to blow the heat but I am afraid to let it run at night so I pray for warm nights.
