Just curious....Is anyone thinking about going camping Memorial Day Weekend?  I bet it's pretty booked most places, though?

Just wanted to know if anyone was thinking about it at all.

We are going for sure. We have a group site reserved for both Memorial and Labor Day weekends for 4 days each, up in the Lake Cachuma Area above Santa Barbara, its a group area just past the Paradise Campground.

Dave's bday is the 30th and will be turning the big 5-0!!  I asked him if he wanted togo camping, but he just wants to stay home and relax.

In the past, OC Campers usedto organize a Memorial Day rally at Malibu RV Park.  It's set on a bluff overlooking the ocean, and you can see the Memorial Day fireworks display at the Santa Monica Pier.  The only downside is they don't allow campfires.

We are looking forward to seeing you guys too. Have you found anything fun for the boys at Wally World yet?  I have to start looking soon.

We will be in Bridgeport for Memorial Day if you happen to get that generator.:D

I recently bought Griffin a super soaker from Wal-Mart, to my own chagrin as I am against g*ns of any kind.  But as the mother of a boy, I now realize that you don't have to buy boys weapons; they will make them out of just about anything, including body parts if thery have nothing else at hand.

Griff's soaker doesn't have much water capacity so I was thinking of getting him a bigger one.  Would Matt like something like that (or should I ask, are you okay with something like that?)  Maybe their little 4 y/o aggressions would be well satiated by squirting each other. ;)

I've got a reservation for Cherry Valley Resort, one of those timeshare places.  If I listen to their pitch they'll give me $1000 worth of free camping for a year.  Figure it might come in handy next winter when there's no place else to go.  I bet you could get in, too.  It's on Hwy. 10, somewhere out by Banning.  I'm hoping it won't be too hot.  It'd be nice to have some other familiar faces out there with me.  I'll be out Fri.-Sun.  Need Monday to get ready for that last big push until the end of the schoolyear.

Let me know if you're interested.  Here's their website, in case you want to check them out.

Hi Laura!!

Actually, I was just thinking this morning I wanted to contact you and say "Hi"!  It was fun meeting you and enjoyed spending some time with you.  Glad to hear from you.

The place looks nice.  I'll talk to Kent and see if he's up for coming out there.  I'll let you know.  I'm up for it, but he is leaving soon after for his week-long surf trip, but we'll see.....

Hope you're doing well.  We are crazy!  Too much homework.  I can't wait until June 10th.

Talk to you soon!

I am like you, against guns but Matt makes them out of his fingers along with sound affects.  I have no problems with Super soakers.  He would love one.   I figured most of the other kids will be at the dunes and beach so the little guys can soak each other at the campsite.  Of course when they are mad at each other this could be interesting.  :D

Careful with supersoakers; a Moose loves to use them.:)  You don't want to give him any ideas.

Don't forget Moose, these are 4 year olds.  They shoot first, think later.  They will love you running after them.  I better pack a few extra sets of clothes.:D

This is now getting interesting.  Very interesting... :Z :J

Oh wait...Moose and Paula won't be at Pismo. :(   Not to worry, I think supersoakers will keep until Temecula... ;)

Moose and Paula are planning on going to Yosemite in August.  We (oops I meant the kids) can get him then.
