Jayco 1406 crank info needed

I bought a 95 Jayco 1406 that was missing the crank handle, the last owner made a crank that works but "kicks" out...it looks as if there is a piece missing that the crank sticks onto, I have tried to get info from Jayco but with dismal results, when I contacted the dealer they said they don't sell parts unless they install them. Anyone have a 1406 that can answer  this mystery?

Do you need just the crank handle?  If so I don't understand why a Jayco dealer will not see you the handle.  I would contact Jayco direct or another Jayco dealer to buy the handle there.
