Want to install an accumulator for my Sureflow pump in my 2002 Bayside. To save me some grief, can anyone tell me the best way to access the pump? I don't see an easy way.

Thanks

On our '99 Bayside, the pump is located under the slide out, behind the beige sheetmetal cover. There are probably 8 screws that hold the cover in place, to get to some of them you'll need to open the under seat storage doors.

Since I've been having a little trouble with my pump (doesn't seem to keep primed), I have to access it to pour water directly into the intake. I keep a cordless driver in my tool bag to make the process much quicker and much less aggravating.

Thanks for the tip. I thought it was in the wall between the fridge and the slide out.

There were some nice extrusions to mount the accumulator.

Saw in some other posts the reccommendation to isolate the pump with some vibration absorbing materials. The Bayside's Surflow is shockmounted but the puotput tubing is rigid and rubs the floor. I suspect that this is what is contributing to the noise factor. Still have a little plumbing to do to see how quiet it gets.

Steve, I suspect you have a bad check valve if you are loosing prime. Mine is right on the intake side of the pump.

Is the check valve integral to the pump itself? Surflow apparently sells a rebuild kit. I sure would like not to have to manually prime the pump each time we dry camp.

No, it's a separate device that screws into the intake side of the pump and then goes to the tank. If you don't see one, you probably don't have one. Next time I get in there, I'll try to get some info off mine.
