Last week I purchased a 2002 Coleman Bayside, Once I got it home I started to look closer into the unit. In the forward storage area I noticed some signs of water contamination in the paneling in the compartment. Tuesday and Wedesday we had a good New England rain storm. So I was curious. I opened the side access panel and I could hear the drips!! I always heard that this may be a problem..
I have contacted the dealer,  They won't help me at all...   They did listen...   The dealer is also 420 miles away..  I'm tempted to rip the entire damaged wood and replace it with a marine grade panels and epoxy the entire compartment..  The cheap fiber board they used in like a sponge and it really has created a mildew smell..   I'm don't want     to go camping in it till a get it fixed..  Any suggestions..

Did you figure out where it was coming in at?  You want to stop the leak so that the floor doesn't go bad.:)

I also have the cracks in each of the ABS corners nead each of the latches. I just got some Sikaflex 1a polyurethane sealant that I have used the fill the cracks.

I have started to documented the repair and have posted it on my  webshot site.

People should be aware of these issues when looking or considering purchase one of these units. Use your nose you will smell the mildew...
Otherwise, the unit is in great shape other that these issues. I hope i can enjoy it once this is in the pass...

Update to this early post, Today I remove all the damaged water soaked panels in the entire compartment. It took about three hours by myself. I have entered more pictures on my webshot page..
