Broken Spring in Lift system

Cranking our 97 Viking down yesterday, the spring in the back lift system broke.  It is now sticking out of the bottom.  Anyone every had this repaired and approx what is the expense?  I have a dealer, but they will be closed until Tuesday and I am wondering what we are talking.  I found the site for Goshen Stamping thanks to someone here, but still currious.
