OC Campers

Just got back from a great weekend with Deidre (dee4J).  Lake Siskiyou is a beautiful lake and campground.  In fact we enjoyed it so much we made reservations for Labor Day.

The weather was beautiful.  The kids all had a blast together.  Would you believe there were 7 kids there (ages 4-13) and they all played great together.  We watched Dee back up that beast of a hybrid like a pro.  She got it in the site the first try.  Only 1 SPUT.  Kara (Deidre's 6 year old) went in to wash her hands before the water was connected.  When she didn't get any water she forgot to turn off the bathroom sink faucet.  Yup you guessed it.  The trailer got flooded.  Poor Dee had clean up the 3 inches of water.  Then head to the laundry room and wash every towel she had.  What a trooper.

Last night Kendra and I were introduced to Apples to Apples.  OMG what a fun game.  We were having fun thinking of different items to put on the blank cards.

I was sad to leave but knew we would be camping with everyone in 10 days at Pismo.  Dee should be able to log on the internet in a few days.

Thanks for the update on Dee  -  we've been thinking about her every day.  So glad to know that there will more people familiar with our new favorite game!!!  Playing with Dan is hilarious too!

There was no mention of a dolphin while you were playing Apples to Apples was there?...............

OC Campers

Nope, no dolphins mentioned.  A festering wound maybe.  Just a few changes to the cards and this game could get interesting:o .  I was looking for a blushing smiley for this spot.:D

I now understand why Dee had all the kids go to bed before this game came out in Temecula. Some interesting answers.........

Hi Everyone I'm still alive!! almost had one accident, but I have quick reflexes and Sway control :yikes:

Finally got the internet up and running didn't find out till today it's $2 to have the phone turned on
We're leaving in the morning for Poulsbo, Wa.

Had a blast at Siskiyou..thinking of returning next July

Hey Lori..I got to camp with  Jaquai ..neener  neener neener :-()

Jaquai: I saw the bear!!! I heard the trash cans go about 1 am and shined my flashlight out the window and saw the baby..no sign of Mama but I'm sure she was closeby and I didn't pull a Randy and go outside to see it.. I was inside hoping they would go away :eyecrazy:

Apples to Apples was fun, but definately "G" rated but I came up with some ideas for the blank cards and they will be SCCamper related :J  Dan flys up tomorrow nite so I'm going to have him help me :Z  I've even thought of some cute "explanations" at the bottom too..

Did I mention It's raining?? I wouldn't be a Sccamper camping if it didn't rain a bit.

yesterday the kids got to see ther Great Great Aunt & Uncle. my aunt still makes great spaghetti...yumm

We went to camping world today (so Jaquai you don't need to go for me thanks tho) and just hung out and relaxed..working on teaching Kara to ride w/o training wheels..

more later as the adventure continues..... :tent:

OC Campers

Dee, so glad to hear everything is going smoothly.

You saw the bear!!??  Cool.    I will let Randy know.  He wanted to see them so bad.  It is pretty unnerving to hear the metal trash cans bash together.

If you lose anything else on the trailer let me know.  I can still make it to Camping World for you.

Chez Way

Dee,
Thanks for keeping us posted on your adventures...I'm not surprised to hear about the rain but the bear sounds pretty cool.  I haven't seen a bear on the loose since I was a teen---many moons ago!

So how does it feel living out of your trailer for so long?  The longest we ever camped  in our trailer was a week when we were in Morro Bay a few years ago.  Seems like we are just weekend warriors now.

Dee4j

actually I'm loving being in the trailer...my back isn't so happy but I'm happy. the kids are having fun. saw Laura today (step daughter)  her restaurant is beautiful and we're having dinner there tonight at 6..it is beautiful here. they have a view of the Marina from their house and you can walk everywhere. It reminds  of Big Bear.  dan fly's back tomorrow nite and I'll be heading down south again tomorrow. definately looking forward to the rally..BTW Fireworks are legal here and we had to stop and the stand that was the size of a strip mall...I do beleive they are legal in Pismo
maybe pismosurfers can verify that..I know they sell them there. waiting for laundry to get done...darn laundry fairy didn't show up so I had to do it...more tomorrow nite..............

That's because the laundry fairy is at my house doing my laundry.  Oh wait, that's me...

Glad you're having a great time. I'm so jealous!!!  Maybe in the next year or so, My faimly can take a week or two and just go camping the entire time.  I would be so happy and Griffin would be twice as happy!

Can't wait to see you in Pismo.  Only 4 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!  And we'll be only too happy to contribute to the "Buttload Firewood Fund" aka the BFF. :D

Dee4j

well I made it back to Tualatin oregon, I love having modem h/u at my site :p

we had a wonderful breakfast with everyone and Dan had all 4 of his children with him for fathers day, this is only the second time ever...
after replacing tailight bulb on the trailer we left poulsbo, wa about 1:30 and arrived here about 6 pm not sure where I'm stopping tomorrow (next thing on my agenda) but will be getting an earlier start. The weather in Wa was beautiful and it was 80 deg the whole way down. got here sunny hot and 2 hours later....rain :eyecrazy:  got some pics  of a cool double rainbow..the kids thought it was cool actually I think they liked dancing around in the rain more.
I wish we could afford to do this all summer long.  well hopefully I'll be able to check in tomorrow......the adventure continues :D

Dee4j

made it to Grants Pass it's very pretty here. Kara & I took a walk around the park, it's a very nice park. I've been recording the trip in our camping journal from PUT and will post many campground reviews when I get back.
Lost the strap on mirror on the drivers side   at least it didn't hit mine or any other vehicle, just shattered on the hwy. heading to my friends house tomorrow... the adventure continues..............

Dee4j

The adventure continues...............
