OK so thanks for all the replies on cleaning the adhesive off of the trailer.  Now more questions.  First, I tried lighting the Dometic fridge and had some problems.  I followed the directions and the pilot light actually lit up up on the third time.  However, the fridge isn't getting cold.  Once the pilot is lit is there anything else I have to do?  Can you hear the fridge when it is on? Also, when on battery power nothing happens as well with a full battery charge.  I followed the directions I have to turn the frisge on either way and nothing.

Second, the furnace.  I turn on the thermostat and set it to a warm temperature.  THe fan comes on shortly but nothing else.   When I opened the vent door there was another on/off switch.  What is this for?  I turned it on and nothing changed.  Do I have to wait awhile before the furnace kicks on.  Do I have to light something or is it automatic.

Please help this newbie.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have a fridge, but I worked on my wife's nephew's camper which did have one, and as I recall, after lighting the pilot, you had to turn a knob to adjust the cold, colder, coldest setting.

Furnace sounds like mine, (See my post) and is cycling but not lighting and the safety switch is shutting it down. I'm searching for suggestions as well and if I get any I'll pass them on. IF the showers and thunderstorms stop, I'm going to pop it up and try a few things such as pulling the front panel to get at the observation port to see if the electrodes are firing, see if it's dirty inside, etc.

Good luck!

When I turn on the frig, it always takes hours before it gets cool. I always either power it with AC or propane the night before and tow with DC.

Same here. I don't even check the refridg.  for 3 hrs after plugging it in and I always start it the night before leaving on a trip

Thanks for the replies.  So I must be too impatient with the refrigerator.  I will turn it on tomorrow before we leave.  Does it make any noise or anything?

The Dometic in my old Palomino didn't make any noise when it was running ... just the sound of the pilot when it was lit.

Hope you get it all figured out.

Well the refrgerator works fine.  I just didn't wait long enough.  However, we conuld not get the furnace to heat.  Like I said the blower comes on but nothing else.
