Assateague 7/30 thru 8/7 CANCELLED

We will be at Assateague National Seashore arriving 7/30 until 8/7.
 Anyone in the area, feel free to stop by. I will be on the Bayside and you can see in my sig what we have. The truck is Black/Silver.
 
  I'll be catching up with CampNfan sometime that week. He will be camping nearby for the week.

 If you are going to book in the timeframe I am there, do it in a hurry. They are pretty close to filling up. I am staying in the generator free loop on the bayside in the National Park. The State Park is right next to it with hookups  but they don't allow pets and we bring our dogs. I like the NP better anyway.

I'll be in Acadia NP staying at Blackwoods CG from 6/18-6/25, will you be at Assateague then?

No, we will be there at the end of July, first week in August timeframe. I believe the actual dates are 7/26 - 8/1. We have a few stops on the way up and then on the way back. We are taking it nice and slow averaging around 5 hours a day driving. That way we can spend time at various state parks/campgrounds and see what's there before moving on to the next one. We have extended stops at Boston, to visit my oldest daughter, on the way up and then Pocahontas State Park on the way back.

I guess this trip is out the window now. DW had vacation denied for that week. I guess we will have to stick close to home this year. Might have to do another week at Acadia NP.... what a bummer;)

Charlie sorry to hear you will not be going to Assateague.  We will be camping at Blackwoods campground August 12 to the 19th if you can make it that week.  It would be good to see you again.  Do you want me to bring you some sand, or ticks or mosquitoes from Assateague?
