Rick I sent the new sign.:)

Adam

Hey that was DI's quote....was I even at the Rally ?  I just remenber you taking me back to your camper in the dark  :)  and been really dark and someone shut down the bucket in the trees !

Brandon, Had a blast !  One week to OC, MD !

tlhdoc

Adam I did not take you back to my camper!  I walked you to my campsite and then back to Rodd's site, because you would have gotten lost on your own.  Rodd turned the bucket light out so you wouldn't find your way back.  You would have been lost for sure.  Don't leave funny ideas out there for other people...I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong idea.:)

Tracy,  At the moement I have conflict with that weekend, I have my Nephews for the weekend and they are as hyper as kids come, to the point I'm afraid they could wreck my weekend camping.

BTW I called Bruce the other day and told him he really screwed up on the dates of the fall rally since it falls right on the dates of the Hershey RV show and our friends @ Twin Grove ask us to stay with them the same weekend.

My Darling Lisa, was loading items in the pop-up and turned to me and started to yell @ me that if where doing this type of vacation for the next ten years I need to get a hard side and a real hard side no darn tent material, she went on to call me cheap, " Whats 15k-20k when you where going to spend that on a time share... buy me a real camper !"  The big change here to note was she agree'd to drive a Yukon or Suburban ~ It should be intresting next week, since it's Lisa's first week long trip in the pop-up.

Have a good trip.:)

DiW

Good luck Adam. Let us know how it turns out. Maybe you can find out what Lisa considers a good time (camping that is) and make sure you include it during the week - like I finally have mh DH making fires. The first few years he complained about this and that, drove us crazy..... now my youngest likes to make the fire so he's finally going along with the idea (he thinks it's HIS idea to have a fire = yes dear). I also like a pie cooked over the fire (but I only do that  occasionally)... My son is easy to bribe with a steak dinner sometime during the trip. How about Lisa? Maybe a quiet morning to sleep in while you take the boys off on a hike or something? Or you could give the boys their baths/showers whatever. I remember when ours were little and we'd be at Cape Cod (we didn't dare camp then  ;) ). My DH and I would take turns getting up early and taking the kids off to the playground, picking up donuts on the walk home, letting the other one sleep in or at least have a little peace and quiet. Whatever you do, have fun. Camping's better than being home.

Chris likes fires???

DiW

Well Rick, he certainly prefers when YOU make the fire. At our site, he complains about the smoke, the smell, "it's too much work", "it's not worth it, we'll be going to bed soon", blah, blah, blah. Of course, I don't do it right so that's one more thing to complain about. Now Kelsey just goes about making one anyway and so he has to "show her how it's done right" and before we know it, we have a fire  :p  He even buys wood now - that is, if he can find it cheap enough... We don't always have you nearby so we have to fend for ourselves. I liked Watkins Glen when the girls had the fire during the day.

Hey Rick, speaking of fires, I have found that old road flares have a wonderful final use as firestarters.  Throw one of those 30 minute flares under a pile of logs and you have instant campfire.  Thought you could appreciate that.

I liked it too, the girls did a great job.  It wasn't all smoke like someone else makes them.:D

Adam

Hi All,

After camping one week in the camper with my wife & boys the camper is not cutting for the other team menmbers in the family. So today we brought home a new Hemi 2005 Durango & a new 2004 (Left Over) Jay Feather 26S.  My wife is my best friend and she understands how much I love to camp, I belive marriage is a give and take so she give in by camping and I give in by going to the dark side to make her happier camping in the future.
