ONeill Regional Park, July 22-24, 2005

We're camping at ONeill Regional Park the weekend of July 22-24th!  It is dry camping, but some sites have water, and you can hook up to it if you bring a long enough water hose.  
 
You can either call or make your reservations online.  Reservations are site specific.  This morning the web site was taking too long so I will be calling when the call center opens.  To make your reservations online (or to just look at the site descriptions and then call for your reservation) go to http://www.ocparks.com/oneillpark/ and on the left-hand navigation panel, click on "Make a Reservation"  You'll be reserving for the Arroyo Campground.  Each of the available sites has a description so you can choose the site you like.  We like the pull-through sites, and will be reserving site number 17.  When I checked this morning, pull-through sites 14-16 were also available. Fees are less than $20/night.  
 
It can get pretty hot in July, but if it's unbearable, we can either break out the water balloons and super soakers, or all drive over to our community pool. (I love camping so close to home.)

The online reservation section of Web site has been down all morning so I just called and reserved site 17. The fee for two nights is $42 ($15/night + $12 processing fee). Sites 14, 15, and 16 are all pull-thrus and are still available.

I spoke to Dee.  She's going to reserve site #14.  
 
It's not Malibu in the sense of the view and the ocean, but you can have a campfire!  So Yippee!!! We're camping again!

I got # 14...we're going camping...gee no microwave..I guess I can cope  if I don't have water at my site I'll fill up my tank when I get there, It's 72 gallons :yikes: The kids can get there DVD movie before bed, our portable has a 3 hour battery...

Yipeee we're going camping...I think the kids have camp until 1 pm that day so we'll be there around 2

We have a generator if it is needed. When we were there the last time, we didn't even need the portable DVD player. I was really proud of Griffy not whining to watch his movies.
 
The kids wil probably want their bikes.  There are trails to ride all over the park.  There is also a nice playground within a short ride from the sites.

Bummer that we can't join you, but we'll be playing with our grandsons in Colorado. Thank goodness for some cheap fares finally. Guess we won't be seeing some of you until August.

I hope you don't mind that we're going to crash your get together.  We reserved #18 and am bringing DH's mom who also enjoys camping.

Ok you guys...After Dee and Lori both trying at Pismo to get us to camp across the street from our house here at Oneill...we decided to at least look at the thread and check things out.
 
I decided after seeing that Kim and Richard and their 3 squirts are coming that we should do more than just drop by for a meal as we had origionally planned. We missed Kim and her crew so much at Pismo, that we want to camp RIGHT NEXT TO THEM at Oneill.
 
We are all signed up for campsite #19!!!! We will see you all there!!!
