Does anyone have an idea of how you might do a "do-it-yourself" mod storage box mounted to the rear bumper of a coleman sedona?

Cheryl

DH created a platform that was bolted with huge U-bolts to the rear bumper/frame of our Coleman Cape Cod. We found, thru trial an error, that we COULD NOT carry much weight as this thru off the tongue weight/tow formula and caused the camper to fish tail.

Please be very concious of this if you decide to go this route.

Actually, I didn't use U-bolts. I used the existing bolt hole and attached my channels to the frame. Paste the link in my signature line to see how I did it. (Webshots)

Keep in mind what Cheryl said regarding the weight. We would keep the table-top grille, patio mat, and campfire tools in it. Just don't put TOO much weight in there.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I looked at the webshots of the mod. Great idea.
