This is my first pop-up.  I have a "flat four" plug on my truck and I'm trying to adapt it to a two-row six prong plug on the trailer.  There is also a little square two-wire plug next to the six wire plug.  There is a converter in the trailer but I don't know why.  A wiring diagram would be great!  Anyone know where I might find one?

What year is your Coleman Sequoia?

My 02 Coleman/Fleetwood Toas has one of these plugs. The dealer installed the mating plug to it and put a 7 pole rv plug on the other end.

I have the same plug on my Jayco.  I bought it from a guy whos TV had a long wire that connected to it directly.  My pickup has the 7-way plug, so I had to create a custom connection.

I used an adapter to convert the 7-way to a flat 4-pin (about $8) Then I bought a kit that included a plug for the 2-row six pin connector on the trailer.  With a little bit of trial and error, I figured out which wires I needed to connect (none of the colors matched, BTW, except white/ground).

The four-pin wiring has Left turn/brake, Right turn/brake, tail lights, and ground.  The 6-pin includes 2 more functions: backup(reverse) and what I assume is a 12V power source.  These 2 I just left disconnected, although I may go back and wire the backup/reverse to the taillight and install a manual switch.  That way if I ever need to back up in the dark, I could use those lights.

a 7-way to 6-way direct connection would be ideal, but without a wiring diagram you may be stuck paying a dealer.

Call Fleetwood, they before the big naming rights battle they would send out wiring diagrams for Coleman trailers for free.  You just need to know the model and year and they should be able to help you out.
