So I got my "new" 1988 coleman popup & test out everything.  Everything works great, except the water hookup.  I connect the water hose, but nothing comes out of the faucet.  Inside my hookup (on the outside of the camper) there is a spring loaded valve. If I hook the hose up to the popup, then unhook it & press in on this valve water shoots out & sparys all over me.  Is there suppose to be something inside my house that depresses this valve?   Under my faucet I have three inlets, one goes to the water bottle & one to the city water hookup.  The one that goes to the ciy water hookup connects directly under the fuacet. The one that goes to the water bottle connects under the pump lever, & there is a third inlet between these two with nothing connected to it.

I'm sure none of this makes any sense to anyone but myself, but if you can understand my jibberish - What do you think is wrong?

Be sure you have a water flow pressure regulator on the line between your city water supply and your pu.You may have a check valve in your pu protecting the water lines from too much pressure.

If the faucet has a round handle like a residential faucet and lifts to pump from the onboard tank, the city water works by turning the handle. The third nipple on the bottom of the faucet is for a hot water conenction.

The check vavle you pushed and got water out of at the city water connection is to keep water from coming out when you use the hand pump or a demand pump with the onboard water tank.

Fixed! problem was that the PO  installed the tubes on wrong inlets.  On of the tubes (city water) was fitted on an "mock" inlet.  Thanks for the help guys.
