Hi, all.  After lurking on this board for a month or two, I took the family and went out last night and purchased our new Viking Epic 2308.  We expect delivery sometime next week.  I got some great advice from the forums and that helped me make (I hope) an intelligent decision.  Thanks to everyone.
 
To the Viking people - I would not have known about your product if not for your ads on this site.  There is another RV dealer within walking distance of my home.  We ended up at the Viking dealer about 10 miles away.
 
We've been tent campers for about 10 years, and DW camped in a PU when she was a kid.  It's my first.
 
I never join forums or chatrooms.  This one seems different.  We look forward to meeting some of you sometime down the road!

Congratulations on the new popup.  You and your family will make a ton of memories with it.  My 3 kids love camping.  In fact my 4 year old goes out to the garage and talks to our popup:eyecrazy: .  If you ever have any questions just ask.  There is never a stupid question.  You will gain a lot of knowledge from the wonderful people on this board.

Helpful hint:  take a video camera when you go thru your walk-thru.  There is so much the dealer will show you and you will forget half of what they tell you.  This way you can go back and watch the video.

Your comment about finding out about Viking on this site was interesting...and cool! I can't imagine having to research something without the internet anymore. Loads of info out there.

OC - thanks for the video camera suggestion.  We'll be sure to do that.  There's nothing like a child's imagination - that sounds like something my youngest son would do.
 
SkipP - Unfortunately, Snippy will not be joining us during our trips.  DW got a big kick out of your question.  
 
Tracy - the fall trip sounds like fun.  Much depends on my youngest son's pop warner football schedule.
 
Goat - I'm sure I'll take advantage of the board many times in the future.
