Hello!! I just got my first pu camper. It's a 1991 8' viking.  It was a deal too good to pass up. BUT.. Tha canvas was dry rotten in many spots, and most of the screen is junk. To this point i have actually re-sewn new sunbrella canvas onto almost every dry rotted part of the old canvas, (no small feat with an old singer sewing machine) and what i have done actually isn't too bad. I am having some trouble with the little stuff up in the corners though..The sewing just can't be done with the zip's and old fabric. All in all, waterproof, but mildew stained badly.  New canvas for the thing is 900 to 1000$. too much for me.  looks and tows good, and sink/stove are like new.  Where the screen door attaches to the roof is loose and in need of riveting, though it does work. my questions are.. what would be my total investment limit for a camper of this age?..I bought it for 200, and have 50$ into canvas and thread to this point. ANd.. Should i be concerned about the funny looks i might get bringing my patchwork popup to a campground?.. DIdn't know if there may be an unwritten etiquite rule ..

You can look at NADA value of folding trailer at

           http://www.nadaguides.com/

click - Recerational Vehicles tab then - Camping Trailers - V (for VIKING) - select model - select add on (e.g. stove, AC, etc.) - then value

They show 9 modles for 1991 - you can add extra equiptment.
The smallest model (VIKING SPIRIT 165SD) for 1991 with no extras is - $830 Low Retail, $1000 Average Retail.
