Well, I just took delivery of my first PU, a new/leftover 2004 Flagstaff 823D. The dealership delivered it on Thursday, and went through the set-up procedure in the driveway. DW,DS,DD,DS are all very excited about taking our first trip, and sat in the PU for hours-right there in the driveway! The neighbors probably think we're nuts. DW had to take a 100 mile trip in the TV (without the PU) on Friday, and much to my delight   , the transmiision went south. DW was at the mercy of AAA and an Aamco dealer. Oh well, better that it happened at 115,000 miles than at 116,000 while we were towing the PU. Did I mention that the extended warrant I purchased expired 7000 miles ago   ? Anyhow, transmission is repaired, an external tranny cooler was added, and we are gearing up for the first trip (in Sept.). I just gotta figure out how to pay for the trip after paying for that transmission......hmmm

Ugh....car troubles are never fun...especially when they happen to our TVs!!  Just be happy you weren't towing TO your first camping trip when it happened!  ..there has to be a bright side...right??  ;>

Congratulations on the new PU. Hope you and your family have many, many fun trips ahead!

Congrats on the new PU. I hope you enjoy many memorable trips in it.

Sorry to hear about the TV problem. Better here, than out there somewhere.

Once your on your first camping trip, the tranny will be only a distant memory.

Good luck, and have fun on your first camping trip.

Congratulations on the new PU, and sorry to hear about the TV.  It is much better to fix the tranny when you aren't camping.:)
