Scotty beamed up for good :(

James Doohan, who played Scotty on Star Trek, passed away this morning at 85.  

"Beam me up, Scotty!"

My favorite scene from The Original Series was from the Trouble with Tribbles when Kirk is dressing down the men involved in the bar fight.  Scotty explains why he threw the first punch:
"Aye Captain, then the Klingon compared you to a Denebian Slime Devil!"
"And then you hit the Klingon?"
"NO SIR, you told us not to cause any trouble - Then the Klingon said that you were a tin-plated dictator with delusions of Godhood!"
So THEN you hit the Klingon?
No sir - we're big enough to take an insult now aren't we?
So WHAT HAPPENED?
"Sir, He said that the Enterprise was no better than a Garbage Scow and it should be hauled off as Garbage!"
Then you hit him??
AYE Sir ... eh, it was a matter of pride!

He was known to hand out business cards "with beam me up Scotty" and other messages on them to ordinary people while RVing across the county at one time.
