Just a link to a video that portrays how not to tow. Let me know what you think.

First, make sure your pop-up blocker is on full power! :eyecrazy:

I have seen this several times before on other sites, perhaps someone could find one that excersises more self control (i.e. is more family-friendly).

Second, while this appears funny, it was a very dangerous event.  Woefully inadequate tow vehicle, woefully inadequate brakes, and woefully inadequate driver, in no particuar order.

He/she got very lucky that:
* there were no pedestrians between the point of absolute failure and the point of end of momentum.
* there was a place where there could be an end of momentum before going "over the edge."
* they were able to find that point of end of momentum, whether by intention (not likely) or luck (most likely).

This is proof that woefully inadequate tow vehicles are self-correcting situations.  What I'd like to know is what the dealer told them about their tow vehicle.

I thought It was funny...I guess if you break it down ..disect it.. in actually to the person it happened to I'm sure it wasn't funny

maybe life shouldn't be taken so seriously ...sit back have a drink unwind and smell the roses :p

TheViking

Your're right Dee, I never thought of it that way. Like on America's Funniest Video's, if we disect the guy that gets hit in the jewel's with a ball off his 4 year old son's bat, it really isn't that funny when you think of the hours he will have to ice down.  So we as humans should not laugh at it.

Oh wait, it's entertainment isn't it

Eaglecamper

I think it's hilarious!!!! Anybody stupid enough to tow that camper with that piece of crap deserves what they get. I am glad however nobody was behind them.

Uh, I may have come across too seriously there (I used to have something about taking me too seriously in my signature).

I'd still love to know what the dealer told him.

I have a feeling this is a set-up video.  Never seen a home video with a laugh track.  But hilarious nonetheless.

I think it is family friendly -- they bleeped out whatever was said, and not just the first part of the word  (as in, "Oh, --it!), but the whole word so you dont' know what was said.  And believe me, I'm a prude about stuff, so for me to say it's okay means it's okay.  :yikes:

TheViking

I believe the video clip was taken from the British version of America's Funniest Video's.  That is where the laughing came from.  I didn't think posting this thing would have caused such an uproar.  You'd think I posted Debbie Does dallas or something.

Oh, NOOOooo...I didn't mean the video wasn't family-friendly, but when I followed the link, I got 5 pop-ups, all of questionable character, at least one of which would have made V. Secret blush...

Oh, I hate that!  Talk about being sneaky and low down.  My son has had that happen when looking up cheat codes for video games.  They intentionally name their site something very close to the "real" name of sites kids would be interested in so they accidentally end up there.  I'm seriously thinking of getting an internet filter we've been looking into.

On a similar note, my DH called me the other day to tell me he called one of those numbers on the back of a truck "If you see me driving in an unsafe manner, call......." and it was a breathy woman's voice that answered, "Hey baby, I'm glad you called......"  Yeah, like when I get the bill I'm not going to question that one!  I'm hoping there's no charge on that one!  Talk about sleazy!
