Sounds like you had a great time. Wish we could have been there as we had been in the Central Sierra's cutting and stacking 5-6 cords of firewood for our house there. Hope to try it the next time. BTW, Paula started her new job at the Van Nuys Boy Scout office Monday. It'll be great to have here paycheck again.Moose

Quote from: TheVikingThe "Behind the Gate" sites close in October and do not open again until May. So we have some time to figure everything out. Something to ponder though is the Group Rates. It would just depend on how many of us would be interested. Here is a link. http://www.indianhillranch.com/frameindex.htm - Click on the Blue box on the right.

For those of us that went there last weekend and knows the area, notice that the Lake area would be for our group only if we did the group thing. It would be like having our own country. Shoot, I think I would even try my hand at Wagonmaster.
You're hired!!!  I like the idea of SCCAMPER Country!

Count us in!  Looks like you guys had fun. Is it catch and release?

Definitely let us know!  The website pics are beautiful!

I'd go, too!  Why do they close the "behind the gate" area?  Would they make an exception & let us in before then?

That's all we did...but there didn't seem to be any rule about NOT keeping them.  I checked our paperwork and couldn't find any info.  Brian caught some HUGE catfish!  But we also caught trout, bluegill and a bass.

 Brian??? What do you know?

You can keep whatever you want with one exception, if you catch a Bass, it has to be over 12" to keep.  This is what I heard from some people that were camping there the last time we went.

I updated my Webshots page with the Indian Hills photo's.  Thanks to Dan for sending them to me since our Digital Camera took a dive.  Enjoy

Oh, Brandon is drooling over the prospect of fishing!  We are so there the next time you go (as long as Brandon is not off navigating his Adventure Princess Circle again).

Hey Brian,
You know I will be there if I get my same spot like this last weekend! This time I will buy the water splitter from Wal*Mart. It costs about $14.
Maybe some shade canopy's for the day time if the wind is not too gusty!
It's a long time away but the planning for it is never too early! I did happen to see a sign about a place that delivers firewood up there off route 202!

I have a E-Z up canopy I thought about bringing, but with the wind we had it would have ended up in Barstow before I could catch up with it. I bought my brass water splitter that Dan used at Home Depot for 9 bucks. I'm surprised our fire lady didn't see the firewood sign. She's slippin.  We will have to see when the best time for everyone is as far as setting a date to camp.

Hey - we have a screen house - if it turns out to be bug season...bugs?  wind?  I don't know which I prefer!
