I'm sure we will bring the dogs.  The aren't really a problem except for the Lab, in a 12 hour period he will shed hair the equivelant of the amount of hair on a St. Bernard.  He loved it out there last trip though.

Quote from: griffsmomUnfortunately, there is no way we will be able to join you all for this trip. Dave's trial schedule is crazy in September. Additionally, September 11th is Rally Day for our church--it's a big Fall kick-off for the church's 2005-2006 ministries, activites, and events, and I have to be there. But we'll be thinking of you and wishing we were camping! :)
Lori,
I hope you guys can still try to make it to Newport Dunes for Labor Day weekend or at least an evening. I understand that a friendly game of poker will relieve any and all trial stress that Dave may be experiencing.:)

Indian Hills weather:  Today the High will be 82 degrees and a the low will be 56.  Come September it will be very nice I would think.  Since we have only lived here since December we have not experienced fall in Cali.  Some people have told me that in LA,  Sept. and Oct. get hot. Is this true?  If so, do you think it will do the sma eat higher elevations like IH ?

YES.  We don't have fall in CA - just warm and hot.  It stays hot until well into Oct.  some years, but I don't think we'll be too hot at that elevation.

Hey - so more importantly, are we doing any potlucks???  It's Dan's b-day on Friday, so I thought I would take care of dessert Friday night for sure.

Quote from: Dee4jwhat no pixie??? how do you think Kara got clean!!! so congrats on the new addition..what kind of dog is he??

Kara will be the only sad one...we would like to relax and not deal with her incessant need to bark at EVERYTHING.  Max is a border terrier mix.  He looks EXACTLY like the dog in The Grinch with Jim Carrey.

We are still in the planning stages.  I will have to get back to you on that one.

Ok, it's Potluck time!! Per discussion with the Prez we have decided that the Saturday night potluck will be Mexican food. We will bring Carne Asada flour & corn Tortilla's. If everyone else can bring the stuff to go along with it like, beans, rice, cheese, cabbage, salsa, etc. we could have an awesome fiesta!

Beer?  did someone say beer???  :!  That's a nice thought at this early hour! hehe

Anyways DEE - I have a group question, but because you and I are the parents of the electronics addicts I'll ask you first -  Zach has already brought up the video game issue.  I told him NO WAY JOSE since it's a short trip.  He will just have to find other ways to live.  However, I thought I should check on your stand with Kev.  If you are okay with it, I'll cave (and you'll be the hero) but I can easily stand united and tell the boys to get over it!

BRIAN - are the roads okay for bike riding?  We have the fishin' poles all packed and ready to go!

We brought our new baby home and it is all set up and moved in!  We are so happy - this is the first time I think I've ever bought something this big and NOT have suffered from buyer's remorse!  We can't wait!!!!!
