RVSeries

Hello!

I'm writing to you from Homerun Entertainment in Los Angeles, CA.

We are currently in production on a new series for the Do-it-Yourself Network (//www.diynetwork.com) entitled

Dee4j

We've been chosen!!! we're Going to the Grand Canyon (south rim) the end of Oct.  they'll have a new twist to their show...since It's a DIY series we have projects to do and Dan can't be around for the taping on thurs so they said they'd give me 2 projcts if I thought I could handle them...I told them
"the Trailer is mine, I do all the set-up, towing, packing cooking cleaning, campfire etc...Dan helps per my direction and supervision ONLY he is clueless and couldn't do it w/o me...Rv-ing isn't just for men ;-) hey maybe that would be a cool twist to the show..to show single moms they too can do this. Dan is a computer Guy....Don't trust him with tools!!!(hee hee):-0 oh he does know how to turn the TV on...oh no hook-ups so he can't do that." :D

yes we will be dry camping at this point but mt TT is at the Max length and with cold temps I asked them about the battery useage. Moose is concerned the heater will kill the battery rather quickly.so I'm hoping they go for the full-hook-up site close by..but since it is an informatives series (13 episodes ) they are trying to get all kinds of Rv's and different camping. first episode had info about storing in a storage facility...

Chez Way

Dee!  This is too cool.  I have no doubt that you will be able to handle any project thrown your way.

Dee4j

well I'm hoping to give a plug to PUT as I have to come up with some ideas that make camping easier and since I get my ideas are from everyone here it's only fair to say so..they gave me an example of one the first family came up with & I think I will try it at Pismo..it's "how to keep the sand out of the rv" and they put a tub of water and a tub of towels next to each other and the they would rinse their feet off in the water and dry them on the towles before entering the RV.
I think one thing I'm going to do is the bunkend covers and the other one is the Ice chest coolers Moose made

This show isn't already on the air, is it?  If so, when?  If not, have they told you when it's going to air?

no it's not, they just started taping last week and it's a 13 episodes series so I don't know if they will air during tapings or wait until all 13 are done..I will find out. we don't get DIY network and the entire series sounds informative and I want to watch it..maybe I can get it on DVD??

Typically, you receive a copy of the show from the company with whom you are working, in this case, DIY Network. All you have to do is ask them.   If they are the exception to this rule, let me know when it's on and I'll tape it for you. We have DIY.

They don't really know what they've signed up for with you yet, do they...;) :D :p

OC Campers

Wow, this is really cool.  How did you get into this?  We get DIY and this sounds really cool.  I don't think I would want to go on.  They might get upset if they tape us backing the trailer into the campsite.  I would have to explain in kid friendly terms what "the middle finger is not a hand signal." and How come we are constantly yelling at our kids? :o

What ice chest coolers?  I never saw anything like that.

moose made these covers for the coolers out of that solar stuff it's like a giant relective lid that slides on top of the cooler...

Jacquai- when they posted here on PUT I e-mailed them about it and they sent me a questionaire..and here we are..  It looks like one of the projects will be installing a second battery. I expressed concerns after moose pointed out the battery uses a ton of juice..(the lows in late Oct. 29 deg) they provide all the materials for the projects...

I wish a Honda 3000 would be a necessary item for the projects ;)   one can dream.... :D

I didn't know Moose made the cooler covers. When we bought our Popup Gizmos they said they were thinking of making the cooler covers. So far I haven't seen them anywhere. I might have to beg Moose for one.:)

Your new acting career sounds intriguing. I can't wait till the show comes out so I can say "hey i know them!!"

Jacqui, I made covers for our Coleman Extreme's out of Refletix I purchased at OSH. I measured the chests and cut Like a gift wrap. I used 3M spray contact cement to glue the sides together.
