lift cable repair

I have recently purchased a 1977 venture (canterbury) my lift cables need to be replaced. if anyone has info,tips,etc. would be very helpful. Thanks....

There were at least two major lift manufacturers other than Coleman's "wiffel tree" system back during that time frame.

 One is Goshen Stamping, and the other was M & H Industries.

 Do you happen to know which system your unit has?

 Please be advised that the same PU manufacturer may have used the different manufacturer's lift systems in their same model/year units.

  This happened to me when I contacted Palomino when I needed a new main lift cable.  Palomino told me to contact Goshen Stamping for the cable, since that was the manufacturer that they used back in 1978........ Wrong, it turned out to be a M & H Industries system, and they went out of biz a number of years before. But luckely, they sold all the designs for service parts to Camper Recreational.
