Rock Star INXS

Does anyone hear watch Rock Star INXS?  I didn't start watching it until the second person had already been eliminated.  At first I thought it would be like American Idol, but it is different.  The main part is the same, sing songs and lowest voting up for elimination.

But man is it also different.  Tuesday night is the night they sing, and boy was it great.  They take great rock 'n roll songs and sing them in their style.  Tonight was great.  

Marty did his rendention of Britney Spears "Hit me baby one more time".  Before he started I thought how sad he got that song, but when he started performing it I could not believe how great he made that song.
Jordis also did a great performance with "Knocking on Heavens Door".  Then Mig did a piano and song solo with "Baby I love your ways".

Marty, Jordis and Mig are my favorites and I would hate to be INXS and have to only choose one of them.

If you watch the show or even if you don't, what is your take on it?

I love the show.  I too thought it would be more like American Idol but it's much much better.  All of these people on this one are terrific anyway. I too would hate to have to choose just one.  The only one I want to see go is JD...and he just irritates me.  He's a pretty darn good singer, but I hate to watch him...kind of spastic.   Pretty much a jerk too.    Mig, Jordis, and Marty would probably be my fav's for the band too....Ty is a fantastic singer, but not sure he fits the band...same for Suzie, Jessica, and Deanna....  These were certainly some talented artists they found for this show.  You can do a search for MSN and Rock Star INXS and listen to clips from each week's show.  :>

I hear ya loud and clear.  I wish JD would just hurry up and leave.  I think if he went all the way, he would want to do things his way in the band.  He just seems like a selfish little snot.  I hated to see Jessica go tonight, I was so hoping that JD would make it in the bottom three.

We have on the website and replaying some of the performances.  Jordis, Mig and Marty's were just sooo good that I like listening to them again.

I am rooting for Marty, Ray thinks Mig has it in the bag being an aussie and all. I say that I do like to see competition between the real folks of the country.
 
I only get into a little of real tv if is has talent; of course we got into survivor because of the way it was first presented. Camp at your best!
 
I was totally into Bo in the last American Idol. When the last show had him up there with Skynyrd, I was excited (we know these guys at least the ones that aren't dead or new).
 
Some people say they are not into reality TV. In addtition Hollywood is really lacking in a lot of things (talent). No matter why they are angry. Our look into their personal lives are not our kind of reality.

If you go to the older shows  on MSN.com it shows you what they sang.Marty would not have done that song if he was not assigned it.
 
LOL I have had jobs like that.  Give you something outside your realm, he did a good job at making it his own.  He has kicked butt on all the rest of his songs as well.

Marty is great, however, as my favorite, I have to go with Ray...I reallllllly like Mig too.  ;>    DH and my son both vote for Jordis.    

 
Yep..was real sorry not to see JD go.   He's good, however, he really needs to be a solo act. He's too impressed with himself.

I agree that Mig is probably the one.  I think he has the look, the actions, and the voice.  But Jordis and Marty are right there also.  In the last two performances of Marty, he has really impressed me and has added new elements to his performances.  I don't remember him wearing eye make up before, he may have and I just didn't notice.  Jordis has just always hit the mark on what she sang.  Even her worst performance was better than some of the best performances, and she's so young 22 or 23 I think.  She had a birthday party at the mansion.

We haven't missed a one. We taped the shows that took place while we were on vacation and then spent the night we got back watching all of them.
 
I agree, it's a tough call. I think that they should cut to the chase and just keep JD, Marty , Mig and Jordis and let the rest go. Then take the next 8 weeks and let the four of them battle it out. I want to hear them sing some INXS songs !!!!!

Boy, Tuesday night was different.  I thought the song that Ty and Deanna wrote was great.  Ty put on a great performance.  I was surprised that Marty's song did not impress INXS although it impressed Dave.  I guess Marty needs to start picking what he thinks will impress INXS instead of his own pick.  Jordis' performance was really off tonight.  She just could not make the song work for her tonight.  Mig was good as usual.  I liked Suzey and JD but they were not my favorites any way.  JD got great reviews though.  I think my favorite performance was Deanna's.

I still love Mig....  :>  They all were pretty good last night with the exception of Jordis...wow...she really was way off last night.  That was pretty bad. I felt so bad for her.    I just want to see JD go..and yep, I know he's good but I really don't like his attitude.

I hated to see Deanna go.  The only two cast members I did not see cry was Marty and JD.  I guess they are starting to get very close in their friendship.  The bottom three is getting to be hard for me to guess which one they will let go.  But they really have great performances that I enjoy watching.  I have tried to pick one performance/song that somone has sung that I liked the best, but haven't be able to narrow down to one.

Does anyone watch VH1 on Sundays?  I don't watch because it comes on at a bad time for me to be able to watch.  What do they show?

I'll miss it for sure, however, I hate it when I get this into the 10:00 television shows!  4:30 in the morning comes way too early to be up that late!  hehehe

 
It's really tough now, however, I still do NOT like J.D. at all.   Just personally..his music is great...however, I probably wouldn't bother to watch INXS if he were the lead singer.   I think they all are going to have some great music careers now though... Heck...DH was in the kitchen this morning whistling "Trees".   ;>

I agree that they will have great careers after this show.  Marty and JD's songs are very good and look forward to hearing them on the radio.  
It will be very suspenseful next Tuesday.  Right now I have no idea who it will be.  I like Marty, Mig and Suezy and would not want the job of picking one.

Well this has started a WW3 in this house.  DS was all for Jordis until she messed up the classic.  Now he is on MiGs side.  DH says JD will get it as bad as he cant stand him, the fact he has already written a INXS song that keeps on getting played and played and played (differently each time).  He also sounds like the former lead for INXS.  They may like his bad boy attitude as well to keep them on the edge.  
 
I am still a firm MARTY fan, I know he will go places.  I think Marty brings a new style and intelligence to the scene.  "Trees" is definately a camping song for sure.  Marty is sure nice to look at too;)  
 
I wish for the best man to win now that Susie is gone.  But Reality TV is rarely fair.
 
Hey these INXS guys are getting old.  But look at the Stones (now we know why they were called that, these guys are as old as dirt and keep on going)
 
Thank goodness Survivor starts again this week.:p
