Too Hot to Camp!?!!?

I live on the gulf coast of south TX.
Our usual camp season is from the end of September through the winter (best time to camp here!) to the 1st of June. We avoid camping in late June, July, Aug due to the heat, but we are in bad need of a camping "fix".
We have a reservation at our favorite nearby SP for the Labor day weekend but  the weather predictions are calling for temps of 102 with a heat index of 110 or more due to the high humidity. YUK!!!! I hate the heat!
We have a good A/C but I hate spending the whole time inside. DH and I are torn between our intense camping desire and the common sense to stay out of the heat.
What to do?

Guess we'll decide later.

It's never too hot to camp for me!

 But it can be too hot to go to work, or do yard chores.

 As long as I camp along side the lake to swim in during the day, and the AC running at night to sleep, I am a "happy camper"

What to do?  Go camping.  

A few years ago we camped at Lake Murray (south of Oklahoma City) at the end of August.  Saying it was hot would be a massive understatement!!  The worst part was setting up & taking down the PU.  We pretty much got up in the morning and got in the lake!  Spent most of the day in the water.  Wasn't much else you could do in that heat.

Oh!  and the brown pop and margaritas after dark helped too

I'm one in the "too hot" crowd. We've not camped nearly as much as we'd like to have this summer just because it's been so terribly hot and humid.  I don't swim, don't care to float around a pool, so if it's too hot and humid out, we've just stayed home.  I don't like sitting around inside the camper so if that's the only option to stay cool enough not to feel horrible, then I'd rather stay home.

its 113 here today, and im still going camping this weekend!!!
its supposed to be 107...   but ive got to go camping, i will be up at the lake sitting in it till 7pm hehehehe
