Ive Recently come into a Viking SP-185 popup camper.   I would very much like to start using it,however; I can not for the life of me find the vehical identification numbers for the trailer.    I dont even know what year the thing is..    Let me give you some back ground on how I came to get this thing..
I work for an auto salvage company, we get phone calls from people that just want to get rid of  things like this all the time.. Well one of the guys decided he might take a chance and go and get it.   Long story short... The guy that gave the camper to us, said that his brother had been storing it in his garage for 15 yrs and told him he could have it.  Of course, NO Registeration, No papers of any sort were exchanged.    I would appreciate any feed back.
                                                 Thank you...

On newer pop-ups, there is a sticker on the street side near the front.  When I say newer, I'm thinking 15-20 years or so.  If yours has been in storage for 15 years (maybe longer, if they don't remember), then it could be older than that.

It would have to be very old to not at least have a serial number, but I'm not sure where it would be.

You might try asking this question in the Viking forum.  There are officials at Viking that check there from time to time and would be glad to help you out.

The VIN number is STAMPED into somewhere on the trailer tongue. It might take a wire brush to cut through paint or corrosion to bring it out.
