I have some cracks in the ABS front panel on my trunk ('99 Bayside). I don't even want to explain how that happened!  :yikes: With freight prices these days, I don't think I can replace it for now. I've seen other posts that mention using Marine-Tex, but when I went to their web site, I couldn't figure out which product to use. Also, is this something I could probably buy locally, or do you have to order online? Someone at the rv dealership suggested I use a rubber patch. Any comments or info on that option?

I'd like to fix this myself, since I did the damage. I don't want to make DH get out in the hot Texas sun to fix my screw-up. I'm pretty handy, so I'm hoping I can surprise him and take care of it all myself. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've gotten lots of great info from y'all over the past year. This is my first post, and (no coincidence) last weekend was my first time hauling the camper by myself. Well ... by myself with 2 kids and 2 Great Danes in the Durango.

MarineTex is simply a very high quality filled expoy resin. I'd go over to one of the Apache user groups for a fix. They've been repairing ABS panels on their trailers for over 20 years and know what works and what doesn't.

When I look at the Marine-Tex website, they have Marine-Tex Epoxy Putty, Marine-Tex FlexSet, Marine-Tex PolyDura, etc. I just wasn't sure which one would work best for my repair.

Where do I find an Apache user group? I'm feeling like a real idiot right now.

I found cracks in both the front and rear panels one week after I purchased my 2002 Bayside..   This link to my Webshot web page shows the repaired details and damaged that the cracks did.  http://community.webshots.com/user/tpleary

I didn't use the Marine-Tex because the damaged was too severe to use it.

Good luck..
