can anyone tell me what these wires are? the 1st pic,
wires come out of the framerail for TV hookup,3 white,
1red,1blue,1brown,and 1black.the 2nd pic,wires come
 from the battery, 1 white,1 black. the black is coming
 from the +side. My TV only has the 4flat hookup and
I'm rewiring it for the 7round that the PU has, but as
 you can see not all the wires on the PU are connected.
This is an 81 coleman shenandoah that i picked up for $500.

The wires in the second picture are standard Coleman battery wires.  The wire harness attached to the battery normally has a black positive wire (it should have a small box in the wiring, the box is a self resetting circuit breaker) and a white negative wire.  Both wires end in a white plastic connector.  The wires coming out of the tongue of the trailer end in the matching white plastic connector.  To disconcert the battery all you have to do it unplug the connector.

Does your trailer have brakes?  The blue wire is normally the wire for a break away break switch.  My 1986 Coleman trailer had a 6 square connector, but I don't remember what the different wires went to when we rewired the plug.  The color of the wires on my 86 trailer did not match the color of the wires on my TV plug.  Good luck.:)

no the camper doesnt have brakes. Its probably the deal where they made one harness for all campers. I contacted Fleetwood and they said they could get an owners manual out to me. I also found an owners manual on the web in PDF, but you cant make out the schematic. I'm now thinking that the plug I bought may be more than Im needing. I'd like to see a pic of an original plug if anybody has one

If you go to //www.PopUpPortal.com there is a section at the top of the forum page that has the complete 1981 Coleman ownwers manual in a PDF file. (and other model and year PU's also) In that manual, at Fig. # 37 is the color coded wiring diagram for your particular camper.

 While you are there, you can print out the complete manual for all the information regarding your PU. I think there is a total of eighteen pages, and the manual was made during the time period where they were very informative.

  Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link but thats actually where I found it. Fig. 37 isnt real clear and I cant make out the wording

I have to admit, the wiring diagram in the 81' model manual is pretty rough, but the one in the 82 is much clearer.

 It is as follows:

 Blue = Elec. Brakes.
 White = Ground.
 Black = Aux. Power.
 Yellow = Left turn / Stop light.
 Red = Back up light.
 Brown = Marker lights.
 Green = Right turn / Stop light.

 The two wire plug connection is for the  12 volt tongue battery hook-up.

  Black = Positive  (+)
  White = Neg. (-)

  Hope this helps ya'

  Good luck with the wiring.... they can be a bear to correct and get operating properly.

Fleetwood sent me a owners manual free of charge(10 page photocopy) I could use a magnifying glass but it is readable. I'll give it a shot one day this week and see how it goes

Update: I got all my lights working except my brake lights. The three white wires was throwing me, the darker white actually connects to the yellow at another plug. Any suggestions?
