Thanks for thinking about me you guys. I missed you too. If you don't already know, that weekend my baby, my kitty of 19.5 years passed away. I was and still am brokenhearted. I just really couldn't go camping. Kiwi was such a good kitty, I got her before I got married. She helped me with the kids and was such a great campanion when it was just the babies, me, and Kiwi...when Andy was doing his fellowship and NEVER home. We knew each other so well, she was a great friend and I loved her so very much. The house is so quiet and it was driving my crazy, so we have now adopted a kitten from a rescue, no kill place. She was on death row in West Virginia at a shelter...and was rescued from there. She is about 4 months old and is a tortishell. She is very cute and very loving. The kids are crazy about her...that makes me very happy. Her name is Tanzy, after an herb in my garden. We have guniea pigs named Basil and Fenil, so Tansy, Tanzy as Diana wants to spell it, fits into the mix. I hope to have many long years with her and come to love her as I loved my Kiwi. I kind of think that it really is a testement to what a joy Kiwi was, as I really needed to get another kitty so soon. Today I am teaching her how to use the kitty door so that she can go into the basement. Having a kitten again is like having a toddler in the house! She is into everything and I am on her all the time. She keeps getting into the piggie cage, and she just can't be there....the boys( the piggies) do not like her at this point. Oh well, she will learn. Again, thanks for thinking about me. I did miss camping with all of you.
