Elk Neck State Park, Md

Hey there happy campers,

I took the plunge and made a reservation for Elk Neck State Park, Maryland on Nov. 4th,5th,leave on Sun.the 6th.
I have all the faith that the weather will be super!
My site is 28 with several sites in the area still available. Full hookups and pets allowed. Can't beat that!   Lots to explore, towns to see and a lighthouse to investigate.  Come on....It'll be fun!

Wynot is reserved for site 24 (where we have stayed before). We're going to be coming in late (for us) on Friday if everything works out. Baltimore is my concern when we're having to leave because of school. Pull throughs? C'mon guys...
 
OK, Elk Neck is a ways down the pennisula, so you will have a drive that convinces you that you're lost. There's only longcuts, no shortcuts to the park. But there are decent forest/meadow trails to the lighthouse and cliffs.
 
Northeast, MD is a beautiful little town. Actually, we walked around alot in the 'nearby' towns. Sara, you'll have a lot of fun in those. WalMart is convenient enough for Paula.

I just found out that the love of my (imaginary) life is going to be in NYC on Saturday, Nov, 6th.  Do I meet up with my kindred camping spirits who I can hug and talk to.

OR

Do I go to NYC and view/listen from afar Viggo (you know, the guy that Aragorn in Lord of the Rings)

Darn, I really can't go camping as DH is out of town on Sunday early, early am, and the kids have things on Friday night and Sunday am.  So, I am thinking of coming down on Saturday, but only, and if only, the weather is nice.  I have to close up my camper this weekend as no more camping for me this year....boohoo and I am really sad about it.

Camping Paula, camping.  I don't even know who your Viggo is.  I know he is an actor but that is it.  I am going to NYC the following weekend.   It has to be dry and sunny for me to go.  After the clocks change this weekend the sun will be down when I get home from work and I will have a hard time closing up the camper if I have to dry it out.:yikes:

Sara I will not decide until the last minute.  It has to be nice on Sunday for me to go, and I have to find out how late I can check in.  I know at Assateague Island SP and Rocky Gap SP (both MD) there is a set time you have to be checked in by or you have to wait until the next day.

Sara??Freeze?? I keep tell'n ya that you need one like mine!! I am sleeping in the dinette so I do not freeze!!!

I'm going to the store to get "supplies" since this campground is so far from civilization (yeah right, 9 miles??) I was wondering if it is every (wo/)man and family for themselves or are we doing the communitee thing???
A super Walmart (as well as a myriad of grocerys all down US 40) is on my way, if I go US 40 through Elkton (they recently opened it right at the MD/DE line) so I can get stuff on my way.  
Do I pack for one or do I pack to share,
if so most meals, one meal???
Either way is OK with me.
