We are kicking around the idea of adding AC to our trailer and was wondering how far above the roof the ac sits from the top of the trailer to the top of the ac unit. Reason for this odd question is if our trailer will still fit under the car port with the roof in the raised position

larrylisa, you're in luck! The camper is sitting in the driveway, ready to head out Thursday. Our Coleman Mach 13,500 btu unit sits right at 14 inches above the roof.

I think the Duotherm units might have a lower profile.

Cool, thanks. I have about 20 inches to spare with no ac. Should be ok.

If there is any grade change between the driveway and the carport it will reduce the clearance. Been there, done that, cracked the AC cover up real good.

you might want to check this brand out , its a low profile 9 1/2 inches high on the roof instead of 14 inches  which will give you the better  odds
