Tracy,
Let us know how it all works out... I still have mine popped up. Just like looking at it  ;) . The cabinet drawer broke again (on the way home) so maybe Chris can fix it (again). Hope to come see you guys on Sat. Will have to see what else comes up for that day but it's looking good - nice that J can drive himself to all his activities & I don't have to stay home to play chauffeur.

Di - that would be so cool if you guys could make a day trip up there!

Tracy - what's the latest on the camper situation?  I hope Rhones can get it done.  If not do they have a loaner PU that you can borrow??

Last weekend some of us talked about hitting Selena's for dinner on Friday...  I know that we plan to and I think Andy said he was interested as well?  Anyone else?  What times do you guys plan on arriving Fri?

Are we doing a potluck Sat or will that depend on the weather/temp?  I promise not to fall asleep this time after dinner and will join the campfire.  Sorry 'bout that at Otter Lake.

I don't know the status of the camper.  I dropped it off Sunday evening and called on Monday morning, so there is no doubt that the camper is there.  They don't rent or do loaners.  IF J goes, I will not get there until late, probably close to 8:30 PM.  That stupid rule about checking in by 9 PM sucks.  I have to really push it to get there in time.  IF J stays home, I will be able to leave in the morning and get there earlier.  I would like to eat at the Diner, but may not be able to on Friday.  Are there enough of us to have a functional pot luck?  The extended weather forecast has it being cold, again, big surprise. :)

Flag on the play.  My friends will not be able to leave del until after 5 pm.  You said something about early check in time.  What if they arrive late.  Are they still going to be able to get in and just check in the next morning?  I didn't see anything on the web site for there about check in times.

copcarguy

Hey Scott...

While North Lake is my favorite CG in existence, they are really, really not cool about arriving after 9pm.  REALLY not cool.  They like to have the site occupied / set-up before quiet time starts at 10pm.  I would recommend that if your friends will be later than 9 to call the Ranger Station and let them know they're on the road, running late, etc.  The number is 518-589-5058.

Even though we all basically reserved this entire section of Loop 6, and any noise being made would just disturb us, they are still not happy with after 9pm arrivals.  Check in starts at noon.

I have once (and only once) gotten there really late.  I arrived at 2am, and at that time (about 15 years ago) I was camping in my old van.  I simply backed in the site I had reserved and went to bed in the van.  The next morning I went up to the Ranger Station to register and they had a cow.  I never did it again.

I think the Ranger Station at the entrance is staffed until maybe 11pm to midnight.  If your friends get there later than that, there might not be anyone there and they can squeak in.

Scott any chance you could take their tent with you and set it up so that is done.  I don't know if that will help, but it might.  When you register you have to give everyone's name, car, etc.  :)

Hi Guy's

Sorry for not posting sooner, obviously we made it back from Otter Lake.
I hope to be at North-South by 6PM.
That should give me enough time to set up and then hit Selena's.
I think our group is big enough to have a pot luck, but it really depends more on the temperatures,I believe.
Maybe we'll just wing it,throw some burgers and hot dogs on a grill, etc
What do you think?
Andy

PS
Rick ,how do they fell about early check in? I'm debating to go there in the morning set up and then pick up Helga. It's alot of driving but less stress when getting there with the dogs, etc

Thanks guys, I will be seeing anne and andy this weekend so I will find out how they want to handle it then.  From here it is a 4 hour drive so I most likely will still leave here by noon to head up.  I would guess that they are just going to meet us there.  PS, it is Anne's B-Day on May 5th so feel free to harrass her.  Although she isn't tell her happy 40th.  That will be sure to get me in trouble.

Hey guys...

Andy - a simple BBQ of some kind sounds like a great idea.

We plan to get there early as well.  Usually if your site is empty they let you check in early.  We know our sites will be empty since it is opening day!

I also just wanted to remind everyone that the only threaded water faucet in Loop 6 is right before site 167 on the right.

Well I called my dealer today.  They can't find anything wrong with the lift system and say it is cranking OK.  Fleetwood finally authorized them to replace the faulty roof gasket that has been repaired many times.  They had repaired it again and then cranked it up and down a few times and it camp apart again.  Maybe now my camper will not leak any more.  I thought that problem was done when the roof was replaced.  So if I am lucky they will have the roof gasket on by Thursday.  If not I will pick it up and have to take it back after this trip.:)

Hi
Getting closer to our trip.
Regarding BBQ,I think Helga will make a German Potato Salad and I tought we'll bring some bratwurst and or hamburgers. We could also decide as a group on saturday what we want to do for pot luck/dinner and then just run up to the Grand Union there and pick up what we need for the evening.
I did throw the coleman grill in the pop up,just in case.
What do all of you guy's think?

Andy
