The Campland trip is the last scheduled trip for us this year.  Does anyone have plans to go anywhere from say, January-March?  I know it's a little chilly, and if it's the same winter as last year here in Sunny SoCal, you can count on rain. Maybe we can come up with a couple of outings during these times?

We're game!  We would like to go to Woods Valley sometime...have to thump on it all!  But, again, we're in if Bran doesn't have Indian Princess plans!

Jacqui (OC Campers) used to organize an annual Lake Cachuma Rally the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. Some of our Northern brethren would come down for it. No one camped that week and they would basically have the cg to themselves. I think there was even a day trip into Solvang.

We never made it--Griffin's timing was always impecable and he would get projectile sick right before we'd be ready to go. One year, poor Jacqui was sick, but she was a trooper and went anyway, and for her efforts, I think gsm x2 took a wicked picture of her all sickly in bed and then posted it here!! Jacqui's so sweet, she was a sport about it--more than I ever would have been.

Edit:  For kicks and giggles, I went back to find the posts--NNC was having a poll for the worst NNC picture ever taken. gsm x2 (Scott) posted this:

Quote from: gsm x2I was going to do a poll, but we are quickly approaching 50,000 views on this thread and I want to help encourage it.

So here's the vote.

Which of these two pictures do you view as being less complimentary to the wonderful person that was photographed.

A: A sick Jacqui

B: A sweeping Michele

Both links are broken--probably to protect the innocent. :)

I'm ready for some winter trips!  Aaron will be stuck in retail hell until after Christmas, but after the holidays we will be ready to go.  I don't really have any suggestions about where to go, most of my favorite places are closed during the winter.

Due to being a course director for a BS Wood Badge course, I don't have many free weekends until after Easter. We are camping at Doheney SB for the January DOG tho.

We just made reservations at Carpinteria SB for the weekend of Feb 18th.  Anyone who'd like to is welcome to join us.  We're in spot #173.  (Thanks to Fishinful for the recommendations.)  See here for campground info and here for reservations.

Hey Jacqui -
Does this mean you'll still go to Yosemite if we go June 30-July3?

Laura I didn't know there was a definate date yet for Yosemite.  I will have to try and work it out.  If we can do it we will be there.

Beacher--
Bridgeport is our favorite place to go.  Funny thing is that most Nor. Cal people stay on the eastern side of the sierras.   Even though we are Nor Cal people now (we moved from Orange County a year ago) we still go to Bridgeport.

This is our first time going to Virginia Lakes.  We were unable to get 3 sites together in Bridgeport so we decided to try Trumball Lake.  It is a lot higher in elevation but should stay a lot cooler that Bridgeport.  I will do a post on the camping when we get back.
